When i grew up there in the late 60's and 70's there were two grocery stores and an old drug store soda shop. there are 4 gas stations and a couple of cafes. Great real Mexican food can be had here. It was a wonderful place to grow up. I believe the population there is between 500 and 600. it is the county seat for the third largest county in Texas.

That is awesome! I just finished a drive from Richmond, California to Houston, Texas. During the drive, I passed by Sierra Blanca. Nice to see your footage of the town.

Crummy because it has a blue mayor and a blue governor who claims it’s a sanctuary state. I lived there in the 60s. Entirely different city.

Nothing happens in towns like this, the most you’ll get is maybe a meth addict/alcoholic breakdown. If you like quiet places and hot weather for most of the year, then you’ll love it.
