When i grew up there in the late 60's and 70's there were two grocery stores and an old drug store soda shop. there are 4 gas stations and a couple of cafes. Great real Mexican food can be had here. It was a wonderful place to grow up. I believe the population there is between 500 and 600. it is the county seat for the third largest county in Texas.
