If the show is about rich people due to their money abusing contestants, I'd rather not watch. This is disgusting - Deborah didn't even deign to acknowledge the apology. Even when it was proffered after all the deals were done and the show had ended. Touker owns multiple businesses, but in an effort to show that the contestant cannot own more than one, portrays a man who runs hotel as lazy. Nick has no idea what he's talking about in relation to a medical disorder, is corrected, and is so insecure about his intelligence that he calls a piece of bread rank, while he continues eating it :). Yes but Sarah hadn't made an offer and they were trying to talk her into it when Deborah had already made an offer THAT was the problem. If they had both had made offers then asking them to go in together wouldn't have been a big problem. But cause Sarah hadn't made an offer and Deborah had,she felt like they weren't really interested in her as they were trying to get Sarah to make an offer when they already had one. She felt like they didn't really want her as the were concentrating on Sarah,basically saying' come on Sarah please offer we want you' If they had both offered then it would have been negotiations as normal. Playing them off against each other for better percentages or asking them to team up. This was a bit different as only Deborah had offered
@p.v.72693 жыл бұрын
@@davidmellish3295 The issue is that Sarah had said she was hesitant but had decided she was still interested enough and was about to make an offer when the couple asked if they (she and Deb) could possibly team up. It isn't like Sarah said she's out and they tried to bargain to get her in anyway, she was moments away from making them an offer, but Deborah's childish entitled sensibilities got all triggered and she exploded at the audacity of somebody to want her and another dragon to team up. All Deborah had to do was say "No I'm not interested in sharing with another dragon, you get me by myself or you get nothing" which would have been fair. But she went on some nonsensical rant about how dare they even think about saying such a thing and even guilt tripped that poor lady into crying and apologizing even though she literally did nothing wrong and had nothing to apologize for. That was horrible and shameful and Deborah bullied these people out of the den, and I believe Sarah agreed with her only because she didn't want to get any of that temper tantrum directed at her.

@p.v.72693 жыл бұрын
@@davidmellish3295 I did listen again and my point still stands. Whether or not Sarah had made an offer is in fact actually NOT the point. The ACTUAL POINT is that Deborah got her panties in a massive twist over something she had no reason or right to get so offended about, blew a very tiny situation completely out of proportion and made the entrepreneurs who said nothing wrong and did nothing wrong cry and apologize and beg forgiveness. Sarah was debating on making an offer and was on the edge of doing so, but whether or not she had made an offer or was going to make one at all is irrelevant to the point and the main issue. The main issue is Deborah acted like a whiny entitled brat and threw a tantrum over nothing. Deborah definitely felt she was taking a punt, or she wouldn't have asked for 40%. So it's a bit weird she wouldn't want to split it with Sarah, as that would halve the risk. That makes me think she was on a knife edge about making the offer, and as soon as one thing happened that she didn't like, it pushed her back across the line.

But Sarah had not made an offer to them
@susanwaugh38853 жыл бұрын
It was her ego and that’s the reason she backed out. She didn’t like the fact she asked Sarah to join her. It made her feel as though Sarah was ‘the one’ needed to make this business a bigger success as she has greater knowledge of the food industry and had made her fortune from this, and Meadon was clearly hacked off by the entrepreneurs request. Sarah, to get on the right side of Deborah, backed out otherwise she was about to make an offer when Deborah made hers. It annoyed me how Sarah always has to be up Meadons arse and can’t stand on her on two feet during this programme and make offers unless other dragons make an offer. She gets on my nerves

That's not at all what happened. I suggest you watch the video again. They get an offer and they immediately ask the remaining dragons (in this case only one but that doesn't matter) if they want to share with Deborah. That's a nono. That's saying, "We don't want to go with only Deborah so please jump on board". The "we don't want to go with only Deborah" part is insulting to her.
@therealchocolatebrownie3 жыл бұрын
@Kris Maybe they thought that Sarah and Deborah will make exceptional partners for them if they work together. I know that they didn't relay that in a proper manner but I understood why they asked the question. There was no reason for Deborah to get offended! And if you watch other Dragon's Den videos you will notice that Deborah does this all the time. If she has put an offer on the table and if the entrepreneurs ask another dragon a question after "talking to the wall", she gets offended straight away! Often the Dragons, especially Deborah, Peter, and Touker forget that the entrepreneurs have the right to negotiate with any dragon they want! That doesn't necessarily mean that they are dismissing their offers. Why does a said Dragon have to be the entrepreneur's first choice? What's wrong with being the second choice? As long they can make the Dragons more money, that should be more than enough! Deborah doesn't get this! And hence the reason for my comment. 🙌

Just when I thought Deborah was going to make her first offer without following Peter Jones like a puppy, she goes out for one of the most trivial reasons. I've watched years of Shark Tank and Dragon's Den (Canada and UK) and rarely do the dragons/sharks get offended or ask "am I not good enough?" when the entrepreneur asks them if they'd like to work with another dragon/shark. It's almost like a compliment because you're putting the ball in their court and offering them the opportunity to work with whoever they want to work with. Add to that, it cuts down their level of risk with how much money/capital they have to put up if there's another dragon/shark willing to share the costs.
