The only problem I foresee is the lack of a deflection plate for that remote oil system and turbo sitting next to that driveshaft. Sick build and great job.

@@HotDamnRacingTeam I might just have to copy your setup and pick your brain in the coming months. I have a '20 4x4 hemi I want to make stupid power and then drive like a grandpa. (Maybe have it at some track days, but no street pulls for me and I probably won't launch the truck myself, injuries)

Wow does that thing sound SO mean! I am looking for ideas to remote turbocharge my 2013 BMW 128i due to there being practically no room in the engine bay. I am not sure if pulling oil from the engine is a good idea with a scavenge pump, or if I should build a little "tray" with a reservoir, a pump, and a return or if I should pull straight from the block and return to the pan with a scavenge pump. I'd really much rather use a remote reservoir and I have a friend who just did the same thing to his 2012 Subaru BRZ, and he went through trial and error, but he had his perfected. I'm really just worried about a tune too at this moment.

Do you have a cool down schedule tuned in so the truck doesn't just shut off on a hot turbo, or are you manually calculating that?

Good question. The only time I let it idle for a few minutes is after a hard pull. Other than that the turbo isn’t getting as hot as it would under the hood. When the truck is moving cool air is constantly cooling the turbo. Being so far back the turbo avoids the exhaust ports, probably the hottest point I think. Usually my exhaust cools faster from back to front, with the headers being last to cool down. I’ve gone a couple years with this turbo, it’s pretty tuff. Unfortunately it’s discontinued and I’ll be switching the ball bearing unit.

The turbo drain is able to fill into the location higher than the turbo? I thought thst was supposed to be a problem but on yours it doesn't seem to be a problem. The thought was a scavenge pump is required to get the oil leaving the turbo to flow up hill. I see you have that one way check valve after the turbo.

Yes sir, one pump, one check valve before and after the turbo. Seems to work pretty good. I’d still love to try an oil less turbo.

I have a Garrett GTS3582 dual ball bearing turbo and it has a 4AN feed with a restrictor and a 10AN drain. I'd like to find a remote tank and a punp to feed and scavenge the turbo's oil.
