My sister had to have both of her big toenails removed when she was younger, they didn’t grow back. The closest toe pain I came to was when I sliced my foot open between my toes the shots hurt the worst until the numbness wore off then that pain was something else, this happened last year and my two toes that I got injured between are still numb can’t feel a thing 😅

I got a part of my big toenail removed about 3 months ago and even though I was crying during it (I’m a baby lol), looking back on it it wasn’t that bad. The worst is getting the numbing injection because it actually hurts but it’s better than feeling the pain of getting your nail removed. If anyone is gonna get theirs removed anytime soon, don’t be nervous. It takes like 5 minutes and you’ll feel so much better in the long run 👍

U should have been truthful with ur doctor...if local anesthesia didn't work for some reason like, in people with high alcohol tolerance for instance..she'd have give u general anesthesia...where U'd have slept through the process..but some doctors might just do ask u to tolerate the pain and do it without general anesthesia since it's a minor procedure. I had seen it being done to a person with hydrocele, where local anesthesia failed, trust ur doctors, they r to do u good .

I remember two years ago, i had a cavity and I had to get anesthesia injected close to my cavity. The anesthesia didnt work at all and i had to get injected 9 times. From my cheek to my ear (on the outside) was NUMB. But my gums still isn’t. The nurse got irritated and told three other nurses to hold me down. I didnt know what was happening. She told me to open my mouth and used up all her strength to forcefully pull out my teeth. God it was hell.

Josh, (just a friendly advice) you should try maintaining a pedicure every once or twice a month and maybe a footspa too. To avoid having this situation again. You don't need to color your nails just clean it. or cut the side of your nails from time to time especially if you feel that your nails are digging in your (toe) skin again...
@moriya_san86303 жыл бұрын
I have those ingrown nails every month, but the best way is to take a warm bath en then when the nail is soft you go ahead and cut the side, yes you go deep but it won’t hurt too much, the feeling when it’s out is very nice.

I can relate to so much of this that it's just crazy. I legit almost passed out from the injections since I was so anxious and scared of being injected in my toe when I've never had that done before. Also, I was really stupid and waited too long so both my toes had gotten so bad I almost couldn't walk normally. I now understand why Josh doesn't like doctors very much. I can say however that its so worth it if you happen to need this procedure, because in my experience 3 years later nothing is growing wrong and I'm pain free!

This just made me realize it is more painful than I thought and now I'm terrified if one day i will have to go though the same thing you did😰 Because one time when i hanged out with my friend I noticed that her toe was wrapped in bandages and my other friend asked about it then my she told me that she had her toenail removed and told me that it hurt. When i heard that i thought it wouldn't hurt that much since you will have anesthetics to help with the pain. But of boy hearing your story just made me realize how WRONG i was. I have been through something similar where I had to get a anesthetic before the process and when i felt it it only hurt a little so thats why i didn't think about it when my friend told me. Sorry for the long story i don't really have much people to talk to. 😅

I know it’s not exactly the same thing, but: throughout my life, I’ve had to have _many_ teeth removed. Baby teeth as well as adult teeth, wisdom teeth included. Now most of the time the anaesthetic did its job and I didn’t feel a thing, cool! Although… When you get like fifteen teeth removed over the course of your life, there’s bound to be at least ONE time where the anaesthetic doesn’t work… And when that happened, when I was I think fifteen, oh, boy, it didn’t feel nice… ^^’
@TheSlipperyNUwUdle2 жыл бұрын
I had eight teeth taken out at once. Four of them baby teeth and four adult teeth. All went well and I was completely asleep. The problem happened when we already left. You see, they decided to take those teeth out while I already had the back part of the braces around my back teeth. And when they put the gauze in my cheek it hooked on the metal part. So when I went to take it out I ripped the metal part off halfway. So I was spitting out mouthfuls of blood and we had to drive all the way back to the clinic, and I had tears running down my cheeks as they cut the metal part free. And you’re probably like “wow, that sucks. But it’s over right?” No. The pain was not over. Because ripping the metal part of agitated my stitches. So that part of my gums got infected and swelled up a bunch and hurt. It was a nightmare.

I've had an ingrown nail before I'm glad I fixed it before it becoming this serious. I remember my toe becoming green and it was oozing out white stuff too! I figured out that the cause of my ingrown nail was because the was something stuck in the nail. And so I scooped it out with a tooth pick, consoled on Dr google, dipped my toe for a few minutes in hot water, coated on some sanitizer before sticking my band-aid on my toe. A few days later and my toe was out of hell and I felt like a good ol' normal toe again 😀
@lovelifeandcrafts50033 жыл бұрын
I have had both my big toenails removed. One toe i had it removed 3 times non permanently before having it completely removed roots an all. The other toe as to not repeat the process it was removed non permanently once before removing it completely at the same time at the other toe. I did adhere well to the injections and they would have to use 13+ needles each time. 😭😱. One of my toes has got a fragment still in it which doesn't cause any problems. I can say though it does feel weird when it gets cold and hurts like hell when a cat or dog scratches where the nails used to be. 😅. Xx

I had to remove two of my nails last year because i slammed my door and my fingers were caught in between.
