have you tried steam to get tint off? i haven't but i heard it works pretty good

No hadn’t tried the steam method, may have helped but the tint was very much baked on there!

Matt Dutton had the same issue with my 2001 Subaru Forester. That purple film that comes off in two sheets

Yeah it’s a pain when it doesn’t come off in a single sheet. Done a few cars now, definitely the most annoying one I’ve had to deal with!

Car was located in Perth, paid low teens which at the time was probably average price for a gtir.
