Steve. A great set of videos with good tips etc. Have just completed the same "full" service, coilpacks, plugs, injector O rings etc. Just to let you know, the connector under the scuttle plate is for the heated front windscreen or "Quickclear". If you're in the South or in California, you won't need it. It's actually a Ford patented system and has been used on Jaguar and Aston models when Ford had a commercial interest. As far as filter change goes, I've just completed that too whilst having the intake manifolds off. Aston Martin apparently do it from underneath on the RHD cars. I have say I can't figure out how as there is literally no access anywhere from underneath! I'll be off out later this evening to do the misfire correction coast down procedure. Can't thank you enough for ALL your great videos, I couldn't have done it without you. Cheers. Pete

Good to hear that the video's helped out. Another viewer has sent me some video of the QuickClear connections on his car, I really appreciate you letting me know. Probably not a lot of call for it here in Cali. Keep me updated on your work. Thanks for watching!

Have also replaced the auxiliary belt. This HAS to done from underneath using a 3/8 swivel head wrench to fit into the 3/8 square opening in the Ford tensioner. I actually couldn't do it, so had to cut the belt and then removed the tensioner. Installation of the new tensioner (mine was squeaking all the time - now it's silent, thank god!) I inserted the 3/8 drive into the tensioner prior to installation and had to knock it out from above with a long screwdriver after I'd installed the new belt. I've had a special tool made up for the next time! Cheers. Pete

This is something I'd think would make a great article. Glad you got through it.

Thank you for these videos. I have always been curious what is underneath an Aston V12 engine. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, I am now a subscriber.

I had to disconnect the radiator hose to the thermostat to get access to do the aux belt. Pete

That's another great, informative video. That's one more DB9 DIY that just became a LSEDI (let someone else do it).
