Loved your reaction! 💚 After hearing MG3, this song & Kujo Beatdown, I've realized what a good composer Ren is. Always something with him. If you read this before you record the next one, it'll give you context if you either watch in whole or in part (first few and last few minutes) of the video from 2 weeks ago. Theres no obligation what so ever, it just helps to understand why his anger is so justified in this next one.

I'm excited to see this. It's a really beautiful video. If you want to see a different side of Ren, please check out his new video "Kujo Beat Down." It is angry and brutal. Ren made a video explaining the whole situation, I recommend it, but if you don't want to watch it (it's 34 minutes long), here's a brief background... Ren bought a beat from Kujo, with an unlimited license. He used that beat to make Sick Boi (the title track on his album). It's a very personal song that means a lot to a lot of people. Anyway, turns out the choir sample in the beat was stolen (Kujo didn't have permission to use it), and so whoever owns the choir sample has come looking for a 50% split. Now that the song has blown up, Kujo put an unwarranted copywrite strike on it as leverage to negotiate for more money. Ren tried to come up with an amicable solution multiple times, but Kujo and his girlfriend have been publicly spreading lies about the situation. His girlfriend even posted a fake portion of the contract that doesn't actually exist, and even "jokingly" threatened to break Ren's kneecaps. This video is Ren's response to them when he decided he'd had enough. KZbin decided today that the copywrite strike was not legitimate, and the Sick Boi video is back up for now, awaiting the negotiation between Ren, Kujo, and the choir sample owners. If that doesn't happen amicably, Ren will re-create the song with a new beat.
