💯 It would be an incredible case study. If nothing else than to not be so dismissive when patients are sharing their symptoms. I can’t even imagine the mental and emotional torture of being treated like a hypochondriac. And there is so much stigma with people suffering with chronic illness and auto immune diseases.

After having listened to Ren's Chapter Series Intently and multiple times, this track just encapsulates his story so well and serves as musical accompaniment for The Chapters. Ren's experiences are very familiar to me to say the least, as is often the case with many of his supporters. Ren's success is so deserved and I do truly hope it continues. Ren is the medicine many of us need. So raw, combined with his naturally emotive performance! Indeed Ren....Your Limo has finally arrived...Great Reaction and a poignant narrative supporting Ren's Message.

I relate to "the kiss of cold steel" bar in a very deep way. I don't suffer from this disease that he's singing about, but I do know depression. I've known depression for all of my existence, and been down that road myself. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not ashamed either. If I had to do it again... yes there'd be some changes, but that road would probably be the same... I wasn't made like I should've been and I really never cared about this f'd up world... I don't wanna die but sometimes I don't wanna live either, and that's a hard thing to have to feel... I don't know if I'll ever be free of the depression(but one day, it would be nice not to be tangled/intertwined with the darkness of my own mind)... although if anyone is reading this and your on that road, chances are that you might be able to put it behind you, and succeed where I can't... Never give up!!!

I’m very sorry for your struggles, but I understand your comment. I have bipolar disorder, but I also wouldn’t change that. It helped make me who I am today, which is someone who is stronger bc of it.

@@ctobolsk I know exactly what you mean... I would never have become the strong man I am today if I wasn't autistic and chronically depressed. Instead I would be a weak p___y, and nobody wants to see that.

Ren is a gift. Now that he is better (not well) he could easily have just focused on himself. Instead he is making good on his promise to bring awareness to all those still missing. It means a lot to those of us still in the midst of the fight.

Ren has frequently spoken of creating "empathy windows" with his art, and he chose to resurrect times in his life that are intensely hard as part of that--for all of us... those who suffer and those who need to learn about the depths. Thank you Ren. May we continue to be worthy of your trust.

And it's just how Ren describes it. It on the D C documentary channel. Worth watch for anyone interested in what it's like to live with. Very moving in parts. The comments are worth reading too.

Americans always seem very keen to make Ren a Christian, lol. He's said, on several occasions, that he's not religious. He's said it in interviews, he's written it, he said it in Eden. He even said so in one of the Chapters. He described that when he became desperate his rational mind receded and he was willing to try anything. He got involved with various relgions and belief systems, including Christianity, including Shamanism and including 'dark magic'. Funnily enough, none of them worked... He says the problem he had, even with the ones he enjoyed, like the Korean Buddhist chanting, was that he was never able to believe in any of them. Ren enjoys exploring and utilising religious imagery, of all kinds but he's not a believer. He hasn't entirely ruled any of them out but his lack of belief in any of them, means that he most definitely hasn't ruled any of them IN. I think he'd like to believe but just idoesn't. He'll sometimes 'speak to god' anyway, just in case but so far has received no answers and found no belief. Even his 'maybe' god is a generic god, rather than one specific to any particular religion. :)

I just want to say I know that you didn't mean any disrespect. By telling a very large fan base where many of us have diseases that do not go away that if you want to you can beat it is extremely disingenuous. We will never be our diseases. They will always be a part of us. Run makes it very much known that he was the lucky one and that many are not for this very reason. To let people know the men are out there in the dark and they can't fight because they are too sick. It would be great if people take that message to heart, i promise you probably know someone going through it that you're just passing off as someone that's just not trying to "help themselves" That last part is too anyone who may read this, not just the guy who did this video. Thank you man for posting and helping spread awareness

REN- TROUBLES [Intro: Vera Hall] Ooh Lordy, troubles so hard Repeating [Verse] I don't reach into the past very much For these shards of shattered glass and harsh paper cuts Leave me stuck when I reach in memories are seeped in hydrochloric acid I go to war and get passive and freeze up But music helped the ice to thaw Put a chisel in the middle swing the hammer of Thor Pull it out of the impossible, excalibur sword Etching note pads full of reasons why my feelings arе sore The first day that I got sick ejеcted from cockpit of living Nineteen, young teen, waking up bitten Posters up, manhunt, Ren went missing Hard to have faith when the gods don't listen The first year maybe was the hardest Waking in a body that was buried like a carcass Brain in the lions den, body in a shark pit Waking up in pain again, aching, brokenhearted Persistent little bugger I was bouncing from a doctor To a doctor to a doctor like a table tennis game that has no end So be the fate of Ren Every single question answered with a question on the end The second year I came to terms with giving up my dreams Mind was severed from the means that helped me write these rhyme schemes Brain was inflamed. the fatigue was crushing Hard to remain sane with your brain combusting And the third year was murder, living in a purga- Tory full of worry, wouldn't live to be thirty Lifestyle hurt me, always in my bed tomb Re-arrange the alphabet and all the letters spell "doom" Light hurt my eyes, popping pills to survive When you're twenty-three and mentally you steadily decline Twenty-four I was poor, disability benefits What's the benefit of disability? It's irrelevant Twenty-five and the scars that were etched, they cracked Elastic bands only stretch so far and then snap Deep in psychosis, hallucinations, troubled vision Visits from the underworld were conjuring my superstition Twenty-five, living back at home with my mum But not because I'm a bum, alone and physically done So thin, so frail, so weak I'd become And my skin so pale, never kissed by the Sun One time I carved a whole in my chest, just to feel I wish that was a metaphor, the struggle was real When you're living in a holocaust you buckle and kneel There's relief in the teeth of the kiss of cold steel Facts, twenty-six I'm highly medicated and the pain sophisticated While I'm laying broke and naked on my back I brought my microphone into my coffin, started droppin' Raw thoughts with the grim reaper knocking on the track Then man, lo and behold I heard an angel beckon on this treacherous road Was a stem cell doctor with a generous glow And a cell transplant brought me out of the cold And my skin got younger and my body got stronger And my stomach felt hunger for a door that was closed And my soul heard music for the first time Beauty was a word I'd use for this gift of gold Oh Lord, I forgive you, Lord I forgive you Lord, I forgive you, make me whole This music I give you, pain that I live through Everything I've been through is yours to hold

Canada and Britain won't treat Lyme disease. I believe it's an insurance thing. They do a test here in Canada but it's a red herring. People have to go to the states for the test. It's obscene that they'd rather turn a blind eye toward it, leaving those suffering to circle the drain of mis-diagnosis and incorrect treatment than actually test and treat.
