The Big Push were together for 5 years (2017 to 2022). They are made up of Ren, Romain Axisa (guitar and vocals), Gorran Kendall (guitar, bass & vocals), Glenn Chambers (drums). They split up in late 2022 in order for Ren to get medical treatment in Canada. They are all doing their own things at the moment but Ren has said he would love to get the band back together some time, if the others want to as well

If I remember rightly, from other comments I saw Glenn is living in Thailand with his wife Gorran is in the UK touring Romain may have gone back to Paris? Ren, of course, in Canada I'm not 100% sure those are right aside from Ren, but something like that?

The Last verse Hip Hop is from Dead Prez's debut Album Lets Get Free, it's a Legendary Underground Hip Hop Classic Track, Ren is heavily influenced by 90's and early 2000's Hip Hop as well as Reggae. The Big Push have some great Music on KZbin and they are all Super Talented and are interchangeable as Singers and on different Instruments, but obviously Ren is the Stand out Artist

They are on hiatus due to Rens health and also they’re all focusing on their solo careers but they’re all still great friends. Hopefully we see more in the future. 🖤

Ren has spent many years as a street performer ( Busking ) in Brighton in England ,Brighton is a holiday town and has an open policy on busking , Ren and the Big Push got so popular that the road had to be shut down because the audience numbers grew to around 1000 , the police just rerouted the traffic . Check out Ren and Sam Tomkin busking Man's World mash up. In winter like a lot of sea side towns the streets are pretty empty and Ren has space to shoot his vidioes like murderer .

Great reaction fella. Hip Hop is a cover of Dead Prez btw. Brighton, UK is well known for street performers, (as are many other places in the UK), Ren and the Big Push etc used to put a post on FB, IG etc to announce a busking performance a couple of hours later and there would be hundreds of people there before they had even set up. By the time they had started the set, there could be 1000+. The police often blocked off the ends of the street to traffic. It was a spectacle to witness!!

He is dropping Love Music 4 on Thursday. If you have yet to hear 1,2&3. The Big Push have a variety of singers. And guitarists. Glen - drums Romain - guitar - singer Goran- guitar and sings. You should check out Bongo bong cover or their Wade In The Water/Trouble So Hard/ Nina Simone (man’s world). This is an area in Briton England where they have encouraged cultural / artistic events. There are people playing something else around the corner and sprinkled through the area. The band is on indefinite hiatus because Ren came to Canada for experimental treatment for his autoimmune disease. They all play move instruments than you see. They have originals as well as these mashup covers.

Actually Ren is more of a singer that can also rap. All the band members sing and all 4 of them can play the various guitars, even the drummer though I’ve only seen him do it once. Ren can also play drums and Romain can somewhat. Goran is very skilled on the harmonica. They are ALL super talented, a rare thing. The Big Push has a ton of content, both street busking video productions. Yes, they did a lot of covers but they also wrote original content too. You can also find video of them on the Brighton Beach Busking BBB KZbin page. Brighton encourages the busking scene and videos a lot of the artists. As you will see, The Big Push was clearly one of their favs. Several great busking videos came from the same day as the one you watched. If you want to see some energy exploding out of these guys check out The Big Push - Paint It Black (The Rolling Stone cover). *** Def react to this*** Watch Out (live busking) is an original from that day. It’s more guitar fun. Also on the same day was War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover) I’m loving their video What Kind of Woman is This live. *** I recommend this too. Their original song Dignity has a great video with it. It is a sort of behind the scenes chronicling some of the career of the band. Go to the video section of their page to see those view count on videos will tell you what the to doze favorites are.

Ren's is dropping tracks from his soon to be released Sick Boi album. He always wanted to do a Rap/Hip Hop album because he loves the music so much. But he even stated on his community page a few days ago that this is out of his comfort zone. Most people new to Ren think he's a "rapper" because that's what he's been putting out lately. But if you look at the last 13 years of content available, the rapping is only a part of what he does. I think of him as a singer, songwriter, musician, producer who can also rap. He likes to put rap sections in more traditional rock, reggae, ska types of songs. He also said recently that his next album is almost completely written, and is back in his "comfort zone" of playing guitar and singing. Please check out his song "Ready For You" to get an idea of the totally opposite side of his talents. I'm here for all of it. Peace.

They’re all stupidly talented. Probably one of the things that brought them together: a love for music. However, I don’t think there’s any denying that Ren is one hell of a charismatic frontman. Even when the others take on that role. There is just something about Ren that draws you in. What makes them special as group though is that energy of just four friends loving music and getting together to play. They’re clearly having a lot of fun with it and the energy is contagious.
@jasonremy1627

The line "When music hits you feel no pain" was originally from Bob Marley's song "Trenchtown Rock", at least 50 years ago, and Drake is about the 100th person to quote it. Here, it's a line from the song "Hip Hop" by the late 1990s underground act Dead Prez, which is the source of Ren's rap here.

great reaction. The Big Push as a band has so much talent in 4 people it's ridiculous. All 3 guitar players are singer/ songwriters. All 3 play acoustic, electric and bass. Ren and Romain play piano and drums. Gorran plays harmonica. The drummer, Glenn, can also play bass. This is a group of all around musicians. Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall also put out solo music. The Big Push does a lot of covers, but they also put out original music. Check out Precious or Watch Out.

Ren has also done solo stuff , when his health has allowed it... which for years meant from his bedroom. When his health improved somewhat (he's still seriously ill) he started collaborating with other artists too and he co-founded a couple of bands. The Big Push being the longest lasting and most talented. The band went on hiatus this year, as Ren has had to spend most of the year in Canada, undergoing experimental treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain. They do plan to do stuff together in the future but with the 3 main band members all having solo success, Ren's career in particular is skyrocketing, it may be on an ad hoc basis, rather than as a permanent band. Btw, street performance is called "busking' in the UK and a few other countries. So if you're looking for more of that, search 'busking'. When it comes to his voice, you haven't heard anything yet, believe me! He will blow you away with some of his live and busking performances! 🙂

I don't think so, Ren let's Romain have those solo's because he likes the attention and Ren not so much. Romain is good but not better then Ren. Have you not heard Ren's guitar work in all his songs, (that is him doing all the guitar work in the background) it is fantastic. His next album, after sick boi will be him singing and his guitar work, I guess then you can give another opinion. How often does Romain sing and play lead at the same time or rap and play guitar at the same time? Ren does, and that is hard. Not just strumming some rhythm, but lead.

There its called busking and they loved doing it! Time to follow its members, each has pursued their own ways. Ren left for medical reasons to Canada. No band breakup. More ok guys, luck to us all. Meet back up in the future.

Some were.... Ren has been dropping banked tracks ... since he has been at hospital. In 2 days he is dropping his newest release, a video he returned to the UK to produce and film. Then he flew back to Canada and back into medical treatment. Newest 1 will also be (i heard) a live single take.

That wasn't originally from a Drake song. Its from Trenchtown Rock by Bob Marley "One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain". The song Ren was singing was Hip Hop by Dead Prez, not a freestyle. The song has a slightly different version of that same line. Another band, Rancid, paraphrased it in their sobg Radio.

His life has not changed much, just his circumstance. I am sure that when he gets back to the UK, he will still go busking, just for the love of music

"The thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain is not a "drake bar" it's a lyric from Bob Marley
