Yes, Ali switches from fingers to pick multiple times during this song. She'll play the intro with fingers, grab a pick and play a few lines and throw the pick to the side. She plays with fingers again for a few bars and grabs a second pick to play. After a few lines she will palm the second pick and play a while with just two fingers. After that she recovers the pick from her palm and plays with the pick through to the start of the altro. At the beginning of the altro she throws the second pick down and finishes the song with fingers. There are multiple fam cams that capture this and she does it casually the same every time.

WOW seems to be the common adjective for each song from the EPIC concert....I keep repeating it in my head over and over....Is there a better live concert than this? Not to me in over 60 years of rocking and attending dozens and dozens of concerts in my life time..this is the Pinnacle of Rock right here. The Warning is always better live than their studio versions. Dirty, pure, real. The studio versions are so cleaned up that a lot of things fall behind, especially when it comes to Dany's vocals (Pau's too). That is like night and day in comparison live and studio.

Error wass my re-intro to DPA. It popped up on my FB feed in June '22 when the album dropped and I thought it was catchy with the binary code (which spells "Free" 🤯) So anyway, I didn't immediately remember them and had to look them up. When I saw the OG Enter sandman I thought "Holy SH!Ť this is them now?" Then I found the Choke and Evolve live sessions and have been hooked ever since! ⚡️⚠️🤘🤟🤘⚠️⚡️

That view-count drop is so strange. But then the algorithm has been goofy the last few days. I’ve had 3 & 4 day old reactions (from people I’m subscribed to) show up. Despite many refreshes so there was plenty of opportunities. I blame it on YT not being able to keep up with The Warning reactions avalanche😂. They need their own server farm at this point.

Love the reaction; seems impossible for DPA to get better yet they do! Error was one of the first Warning songs I heard from one of the greatest Rock bands ever. Dany and Pau are remarkable yet Error convinced me Ale was a world-class Jazz bassist playing Rock. Ale, alternating between bass and melody lines, impeccable beautiful fingering and picking techniques, unbelievable subharmonics, immediately reminded me of legendary Jazz-Fusion Bassist Stanly Clarke. You were initially correct: Ale switches between fingers and pick yet is so quick/deft it's almost impossible to observe. Experienced musicians can miss it if they look as opposed to listen. I heard it the first time; afterwards cams confirmed it, (Goddess of Thunder/ Silent Assassin). Dany and Pau are marvels in everything, including Error, which is why it's so easy to miss how miraculous Ale is. A huge part of what makes Error so amazing, and just about everything The Warning performs, is what Ale is doing while making it seem to many that she's not doing all that much; Ale's brilliant playing in MARTIRIO is just one of many examples of this. Last week at the Warsaw in Brooklyn I was at the front of the balcony watching the shows (on the 2nd night I turned to find Rudy right next to me). The building is a huge community hall built for the once massive Greenpoint Polish Community. It is incredibly solid, yet the entire balcony was vibrating (as were my teeth, bones, and blood). While the building was constructed to withstand a minor earthquake, no one could have possibly considered that it might not be able to withstand the Goddess of Thunder. Now we just have to figure out how to get Ale to sing lead vocals in that gorgeous Contralto voice of hers. People often call Ale's voice sultry, which is partially true, but in reality Ale sings that way because when she was born she was blessed with the voice of a world class Blues/Jazz singer. Thanks.

Her growl is getting nastier ! I also love her vocal technique where she over emphasizes the ends of the vocal lines. I know that’s common (Metallica), but it really adds to Dany’s performance.

Answer to your question if they ever mess up? I have seen them live in Amsterdam this summer. And yes they have their little mistakes here and there but the are forgiven! They know when they make one, have a small glimpse or grim at each other and move one! But 99% they are flawless! And that is amazing since there’s only three of them and mistakes are easily heard not pushed back by a forth or fifth instrument. Also considering Danny is constantly working her foot pedals it is so easy to make a mistake. Muscle memory is key here I guess!

Survive probably didn't do as well because they are dropping so many and it followed BH, Breathe, ES. Those are taking priority for most people, I assume this will be similar situation. Dany getting more Lzzy in her performance and it's awesome.

Great reaction to Error at CDMX. A DPA interview on SPIN's channel (LiPPs Service) just dropped (recorded before 2 sold-out concerts in Brooklyn last week). DPA were asked to name the top 5 songs from their discography. 3 were going to be from KMF as they're promoting it. The other 2 were Disciple and Survive. Ale pushed for Survive and Danny and Pau agreed. A lot of people, just recently discovering the Warning, listen to KMF (a bit of Error and QOTMS mixed in). XXI Century Blood was released in 2017; Ale was still a kid. DPA know Survive is a great song; so do we. Don't obsesses over views; many just discovered DPA and as Survive isn't even listed on the Warning's Wikipedia page, for many new listeners, it's as if it doesn't exist.

Great video Ken! The only thing that bothers me every time I have seen them play this song live is Dany not muting her strings during those "stops" during the last half of the chorus. For me, I think it adds so much more to the song; putting it over the top and setting it apart from the rest. And it makes it "catchy". I don't know why she just doesn't put her hand on the strings and mute them. I almost mentioned it to her at one of my m&g 's, but I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. 🤔 🗣 Thanks for all you do for TW Ken! ✌️😊❤

Great reaction! You always catch the minutia and in turn that brings us to appreciate The Warning more!! I have to disagree with you on the choppiness of that part. That choppiness is written to be played that way for a reason and in IMHO, the girls misplayed that in their live version as compared to the studio version and to me takes away from the impact of that section of the song. They played it legato instead of marcato and that happens in live settings in big venues because the sound tends to carry much longer than intended. When there are accents like that they really have to be overplayed in acoustic situations like that venue, so it may be that it could not be avoided, but watching them play it their physical motions tell me they did not play the studio version of that part. Anyways, like I said, just minutia! I think “Error” is a masterpiece and really underrated as compared to their other songs. I love this song because it is written flawlessly! What else could be extracted of these girls right? Amazing!!
