recently, the tip of my pen broke, and while i was trying to remove it i realized something. the tip that's already in the pen when you buy it is white, with a black plastic surrounding it. just recently, the top of the plastic broke, and when i tried removing the tip, only the white part of it came out, and the rest of the plastic is stuck in the pen. what should i do? i cant remove the plastic and i cant put in a new tip because it wont fit. can i fix it? or is it too late at this point?

The tip given at the purchase is a tip with core (white) in rubber (soft material). The rest of the tip is in hard plastic (black). The tip can be a bit hard to pull out, but that is what you need to do. You pull out the black part, and you can fit a full hard plastic (black) tip that is given as a replacement for free. Tips with soft rubber (as the original one) can be purchased in the Renaisser website.

Ciao Francesca, Thanks very much for your comment. 1) The real response is hopefully "nothing would happen", in fact, I have two Renaisser with me, I use them continuously, and I didn't notice any problem of sort. Effectively, on pens there are two elements that might wear overtime. a) The rubber in the tip (and it lasts every long) gets flat because of the continuous friction in the screen of the Microsoft Surface. b) The battery, but this one lasts super-long anyway. So, believe me, you will really forget to charge this pen. 2) The precision remains overtime. As mentioned, if using the rubber tip this can wear, get flat, hence you might lose some precision. But, they sell 3 rubber tips for a convenient price, just in case. Otherwise you would go with the "full plastic tip", and you have 3 of them in the pack. 3) Battery lasts very long, and I didn't notice problems of sort with the two models that I own. 4) Yes, it gets recognised perfectly, as the pairing is super-simple. In fact, it doesn't happen via Bluetooth either. I believe that the MS surface senses the capacitive (active) load produced by the pen. So, in short, you won't have a problem with pen not recognised. Hi, it depends. I think the 520C lasts slightly longer in battery, as you do not have to pair the Bluetooth, hence it's less power demanding. It's easier to charge, as you charge through the body and not through an additional cap. I also find this cap easier to lose. But the BT comes with the additional button, this can be configured to perform some pre-defined actions (e.g. lunch snip and sketch). However, I recall that I didn't manage to configure it in a way that I could advance in a slide pack (for example). Although, the manufacturer might have added that facility. I recommend to write Renaisser on Facebook Messenger to get further info, they are very responsive and helpful. All in all, for my needs, I prefer the 520C. I hope this helps! @@rayyan-x8632 Hi :-) They are very comfortable to handle, light (about 15g) and slim (9.2mm in diameter). So, it's about a bic pen in size. Both have the same size, I didn't weight them, but I have the feeling that the BT one might ve slightly heavier (few grams)

Evan, for this one the difference is limited to the USB port type that allows to charge it. This one has a new USB type C, while the 520 has the micro USB type B. They do not appear to have other differences.

Hi! I bought the Raphael 530 pen. In general, the pen works well. I tried it on different software: 1) in windows WhiteBoard the eraser works too. 2) in Gimp and in Krita the eraser does not work. None of the Software I have tried recognizes the pen tilt. How can I enable the eraser in all software? How can I activate the pen tilt?

It pairs automatically, no Bluetooth required. I am not an expert in such technology, but I believe that as the touch screen looks for a change in capacitance. I think that as soon as you press a key button in the pen, thats become active. As soon as you put it close to the Microsoft Surface touchscreen, this recognises a change in active capacitance at the pen tip, and so the pen gets paired automatically.

Cannot figure out how to pair this stupid pen. The provided instructions say nothing about it. Also, there is intense lag when touching it to the screen, takes almost a second to recognize the pen is there. And then when I remove the pen, it takes up to 5 seconds for palm rejection to stop. This pen is awful.
