Saw this today while reviewing my renal tubular necrosis notes, after i falled a question on how will the urine osmolarity be, it was confusing, now i got it, very helpful. Thank you so much, my renal physiology very poor

When a loop diuretic inhibits the Na K Cl transporter, does that have any effect on the ATPase? I imagine its still working...

Thank you very much for posting the video. It is very helpful! I have one question though - in the descending loop of Henle, shouldn't the osmolarity of the urine increase because of the water leaving?

Also, does the vasa recta play a significant role in the cce mechanism? When this concept is explained, the vasa recta is usually not mentioned. I can't visualize how the vasa recta works with the loop to cause the movement of ions/water.

at the thick ascending limb's cuboidal epithelial cell, the na/k atpase pump and na/k/cl cotransport seem to keep increasing intracellular potassium, wont the high potassium in the cell affect its metabolism, etc?
