I have been struggling to absorb all of the content in Anatomy and Physiology 2 all semester. I am glad I found you as I have found your lectures to be the most helpful so far. I was reading about the renal system and just NOT getting it. Thank you! I bought one of your kindle books.

Would it be an advantage or disadvantage to have 2 million renal corpuscles as compared to half a million? I'm not a med student just curious about how my body works. Thanks

Quick question are the interlobular arteries known as the cortical radiate arteries? I have in my notes that it goes from aorta>renal artery>segmental artery>interlobar artery>arcuate artery>cortical radiate artery>afferent arteriole and so on. I can't find anywhere in my text that calls it interlobular...thank you again for such great videos. I am learning so much from you every day.

The medulla (renal) pyramids - "you've probably got eight, none or ten of these in your kidneys". It seems strange that this number seems quite random. Do you (or anyone else) have any insight as to why? The body is an ordered (and magnificent) system, so I'm interested to learn why this apparent randomness exists within us.

Thnx you mr for letting me wth more information

You don't get segmental veins though... the interlobar veins extends directly into the renalvein

Great voice acting! Did you practised before?
@Campbellteaching8 жыл бұрын
I sometimes have to practice the diagrams, depends how much I have taught the topic before, never really thought about the voice part so you make an interesting observation.

great video... but i think the left renal vein doesn't drain directly into the IVC. draining into left gonadal vein, then to IVC ^^
