Hi Sirish & Evo india, while you guys keep forgetting. It's not the stiff taigun & kushaq that gives the ride of Duster, there is another forgotten brand Citroen, their cars do have the ride quality. As an enthusiasts running this channel, please let your team know such a brand do exists. While you guys make forgotten cars content, you are already forgetting an existing brand 'everytime'.

Amazing car, the ride quality -the ruggedness was unmatched, only issue was spares were hard to come by and ASC service was expensive. I shifted to FNG at 60k km and it was damn cheap to maintain hardly cost 3.5k to 4k per service. Had changed clutch at 150k km, shocks and bushings every 100k km , brake pads at 50k km and brake rotors at 150k km and tires every 60k kms. Thats all the service it need. My wife loved the drive and handling so much that it was her preferred daily car over the replacement Creta I brought in. Finally said goodbye to it this year when I brought a punch EV . One of only cars for which I shed a tear when it was gone. Renault could have handled that badge much better is all I can say. Thanks for the memories.

The idea that the Duster was built for the developing world should be forgotten, I remember traveling through French wine country, and there were tons of these Dacia's around, working hard. You can't tell whether it was a worker or the owner of the vineyard. In that landscape, it was classless and reaked of understated elegance and charm. Own a Duster AWD in Amazon green. My first car and I must say, there are certain intricate differences the awd has over the fwd. - The clutch, on load if you switch to AWD the vehicle strains lesser and helps ease the left leg in stop go traffic. - Shorter gear ratios, it’s all torque in ANY GEAR. - And, AWD the capability and peace of mind it offers to get out of a sticky situation. Even after switching to the Harrier facelift , I must say Duster had the absolute best ride/handling balance for a mid size SUV , the french really know their suspensions. Sirish mentioned that the Dusters were always reliable but not the 1.5 CVT , we had 3 alternator belt snaps that left us stranded in about 30K kms , so we had to let it go. The performance & mileage was terrible as well. Can't wait for the 2025 launch , really exciting. And once again I am begging for a gone but not forgotten on Opel 🙏

I owned a 2016 85ps diesel variant and clocked above 1L km in 8 years. But unfortunately lost it in a major accident recently. I had no plans to change it but was forced to. Now I own a XUV700 but miss my Renault Duster.

Hi Bert, I own April 2017 duster diesel AMT rxz version. I drove back to back with creta and chose duster because of its ride quality...magic carpet.. Due to COVID lockdowns running is less, still it has crossed 60,000km Fuel efficiency is 17kmpl +/- 1 kmpl. Suspension needed replacement. HP fuel pump failed during warranty and was replaced under warranty. No other issues

Owned a Duster for 9.5 years and due to a mishap it caught fire right in front of my eyes on my late friend's post humous birthday. Wept looking at my Brown Duster. Having driven atleast 50 other cars i realised that no other car can be as good as these not even the successive generations of the Duster.

An ex K9K 110ps Duster user- the biggest regret for me was not to choose the AWD. One issue I think that kept people away from the Duster in the later years is lack of safety- i.e. 6 airbags and ESP as standard. The Duster could have redeemed itself with the 156ps turbo petrol avatar-had it been given better safety equipment.

I have a 2013 rxz varient Duster and it is among the best vehicles I have driven in terms of ride quality and comfort on long routes. Truly a shame it got a slow death.

I owned a Terrano 85ps and when I wanted to change my ride, I was not able to find a proper replacement for the ride and handling that the Duster/Terrano offered. I actually gave up looking for a car that offered the same sense of space, ride comfort, handling, FE and the massive boot all together!!! Surprisingly, my family of 5 members were very comfortable in our Terrano (with 3 at the back comfortably!!) We had to let it go due to two main reasons, 1. Parts were expensive, making the maintenance a conscious expense. 2. We couldn't live with the poor AC that couldn't cope-up with the hot weather we had.
