At the same time, I recognize that as people, there are peaks and valleys in everything that we feel and do. No one is going to break out big romantic gestures 365 days a year because trying to adhere to that pattern will have similar adverse effects as sticking to a traditional holiday every year. There will be days when you’re just not feeling it and trying to force it will just make it worse. I say, when it comes to romance, if you’re feeling it, do it. Forget about sticking to any specific days or trying to hit some kind of quota. It needs to be natural above all else.
