This was a great interview. Not only is Renee great at putting her guests at ease, it’s clear that the ones who know her - such as Punk - have a lot of respect and time for her, which says all you need to know about Renee as a person. Punk even gave Renee a shout out in the press conference after Rampage.

It's a common mindset of the older gen, I worked with my dad who is a micromanager himself and it can be nightmare. Im a WWE loyalist and i never watched any other promotions because at the age of a kid they made it seem like they were the only company. AEWs the first Wresting company I’ve watched besides WWE and since then, i have never watched so much wrestling in my life. Aew has felt different and had some form of consistency and storytelling to keep up with. CM punk coming in is a really big deal

Two things from this interview I noticed. 1. Punk's bedraggled appearance, complete with the shaggy hair and week old stubble. Love the commitment he had to no-selling these return rumors. 2. His shit-eating grin everytime a comeback was mentioned, he seemed legitimately giddy to return to the world of pro wrestling. And for a guy who's had his fair share of experiences with burnout, for a guy who hasn't outwardly expressed interest in returning, I gotta say, it makes his return that much sweeter.

I remember seeing his progress to the 2nd fight. Just as he said, he was having a hard time managing his time between the fight and the court case. He looked so depleted under that suit, but he was so happy in the end when it all ended
