Rener rolling with a soon to be purplebelt after his super seminar in Düsseldorf Germany

Rener looks like he'd be blast to roll with. Giving you just enough to test your own level without smashing you or ruthlessly submitting you.
@DigitalNomadInvestor3 жыл бұрын
That's exactly it. He wants us to learn and he gauged our progress not just on what we learned, but how well we worked with others as they learned. Rener and Ryron were my instructors for two years and they are the best.

fantastic teacher. He doesn't just overwhelm his students but remain calm and fluid, allowing the lower belt the time to react and conduct the right technique. In my academy most of higher belts just kill me with their obese bodies or they go straight for submissions, it's nearly impossible sometimes to try out the techniques!
@mmaforever5946 жыл бұрын
its like that at my bJJ school but only with the higher lvl white belts, never with the good blue belts or purple belts
@run86225 жыл бұрын
Yeah, same in my ex academy. The instructor is a brute going 100% against anyone.. Even if it's your first day. I left this place and we all should leave toxic environments if we are suffering them.

I'm a fighter at Road FC and the coach there goes easy on everyone....well except me....I'm a wrestler so sometimes we go slow and sometimes we go hard. If you're just getting tapped out you can learn if you are an experienced grappler, but if you don't know anything then run away. They don't have your best interest at heart.

lmao thats so common dude like rener is not even good compared to top level players bro js sayin. im a purple and i do that to blue belts all the time. blue belts suck at most gyms. most ppl suck at most gyms honestly. unless u go to a top tier competition academy u any competent jiu jitsu player can do that to sum1. reners jiu jitsu is rlly good and he would end up tapping me for sure but compared to elites his jiu jitsu is basic as hell lol and so is that move
@kenapowers5 жыл бұрын
Please tell me you are joking here? His JJ is basic as hell compared to elites? Ryron went 20 min with Andre Galvao at Metamoris without tapping. Who are these elite level JJ players these guys should be testing themselves against to make their JJ elite? lol. You're watching a guy under 40 with 30 plus years of daily training in BJJ. His JJ is as elite as it gets. if it looks basic it's because after 30 years of refinement the basics are as lazer sharp as they get. A black belt trains 3 times a week for 10-12 years to get his black belt. Rener has trained 5-6 times a week for over 30 years. He has 5 times the mat time as a new black belt. To say we are watching anything less than an elite level practitioner and instructor is disrespectful at worst, and utterly naive at best. So are you being disrespectful, or are you just naive?

Rener's a terrific sparring partner, instructor, mentor. Anyone on an equal or lower experience level than Rener's partner in this roll would have immediately tried to get a tap there. Rener wants this young man to learn, so he lets him get his posture back and build a defense. Amazing roll.
