Hey Ming, best to renew through your nearest Malaysian high commission or consulate in your city. This method only works for locals in Malaysia atm.

Hi, I have a cousin who is a USA citizen, he has two IC one is the USA another Is Malaysia. How can he renew the Passport and get the new passport without connection with the USA Malaysia embassy Can he renew the passport online with no all USA Addresses or number Information? Can he apply on the Malaysia passport website and his cousin to pick it up? he want to keep privacy to not showing he has two passports and IC.

Hi I facing an issued.. when I have filled all the details (included the photo ) and when after I click payment part .. it shows me error.. not even have chance that filled credits card number and so on ... Did you know about? Or it just heavy traffic ?

WeedSmoker I have a feeling due to COVID they have stopped passport applications temporarily. I am trying to get a new passport application for my daughter but they say only for “emergency” cases if you are working overseas or studying

just some wild guesses as I had the exact same problem. 1) do not edit any of the pre-loaded information e.g. height, address etc. 2) if you were using english version of the website and encountered problem, try switching to malay version (that's what I did and it worked). 3) lastly, can try tweaking your adblock system, try enabling/disabling and try again. it's really quite challenging, but be patient, all the best =]

yes you do need to be above 18 to do passport by yourself. because my sister tried haha she has to wait until she was 18

apparently now only FPX is available. I tried paying multiple times but just couldn't get through, all the malaysia online banking services showed (offline). And thank God, right until just now about 9:30pm I managed to pay, (still dont know whats the reason behind). yea just keep trying.

Raphael Lim my whole application got cancelled because of the photo got rejected. I couldn’t proceed to payment. Did you take the photo yourself by using phone or you took in studio?

Update: I made my daughter’s passport two weeks ago, so the officer said you can upload all sorts of photo on the website but they will def take your photo again when you arrive at the utc. I know its a bit redundant but thats how the system works now

Kenneth Fong yea technically any photo will do. But best to always put once that has the exact specs for passport photos. The main counter not the ones with numbers
