Hi Ren was the first time I ever even heard of Ren. It came up on my KZbin feed and I said sure why not. I didn't realize how amazing this simple looking video was going to be. The music and vocals were astounding. The visuals were subtle but deep. And it was this song that made me want to know more about Ren. I could see the pain he had gone through but I wanted to know more. I played another song, Su!cide, I think, and started looking into Ren and what he has lived through. It made me want to know the details. And as I learned them I grew to respect Ren even more. Though he has suffered like few of us may ever know, he has never given up. Even when he was tempted he kept going, kept giving his heart and soul to the music and us. Hi Ren touches so many people, especially those of us who have suffered through mental illness. And it draws people into learning more and listening to more and finding out as much as we can. Hi Ren is open arms, drawing people close. Showing us we are not alone. Ren has lived through a hell most of us will never know. And whether you believe in God, or karma, or whatever, Ren has paid his due. His music and story are the gifts he has been given. And I am thankful that he stairs them with all of us. Happy birthday Hi Ren

I had found Ren four months before hi ren. I remember being so excited , my honey decided to join me for the premier. the comment section was so much fu,n, until it turned into a slot machine .... I think bothe my eyes were flashing the word tilt at that point! I got so sucked into it! tears streaming downy cheeks and idgaf, didn't even bother to wipe them away. when it ended, my honey and I were silent for a couple minutes. silent awe....a reverence....soaking in that quiet respect for what we had just witnessed. I could not have said a word even if I had wanted to. it took two weeks to get my adjectives back and it felt like all of them were not good enough to convey how I felt about this masterpiece. my mind was literally both blown and short circuited or maybe going through a Ren reboot.... how many of you gave a moment or more of silence after watching hi ren? I don't think I listened to any more music that day! at that time I was going through absolute hell, I had lost all hope a couple years before (I wanted to hunt hope down and kill it) then here comes Ren and restored my hope. not only restored it but some made me at peace with it in the process. and I needed that to happen. I would not be here today had it not been for Ren and his powerful healing vibe and his magnificent art. thank you Ren, thank you hi ren and thank you RENegades! sending so much love & digital hugs to all of you! proud of you Ren! and I'm proud to be a RENegade! I've been a fan and follower of your music since the very early days of the pandemic... several years before "Hi Ren." So I knew of (and purchased) the Freckled Angels album had favorite songs for a good long time before that fateful day "Hi Ren" hit KZbin. I already knew the importance of your music, your words, your story to that point. But when "Hi Ren" premiered, I was in an emotionally "unstable" state. After watching that premier I felt lifted, happy, and sad all at once... and near the end I was in tears. I really don't know whether they were sad, happy, joyous tears or what. I just "FELT". And for a time, I hadn't. And I knew, KNEW that "Hi Ren" would hit others similarly. So for that, I thank you. Your music resonates with people of all ages, races, religions, no religions, locations.
