RENOVATED CASTLE for a Sims family | Sims 4

People buying old ruins of castles, rundown chateaus or medieval houses and then renovating them into their own special houses is absolutely fascinating to me. I personally don't have the budget for such a large renovation of course so I have to live vicariously through my Sims!
Now your small sims family can live in their own renovated castle!

I don't have all of the packs but this lot still looked gorgeous when I placed it in my game! I never knew that people renovate old castles into homes like this, that is so cool!

Oh yes they do. It is not financially the smartest move. Renovating something that old is probably way more expensive than building yourself a castle of the same size. But... yeah it is cool to live in something so historic and give it your own spin.

This turned out so cool! While personally I'm not a big fan of the light neutral "airbnb" furnishing, you gave it enough personalization and subtle pops of color that made me enjoy this build very much! Lining up the TV, couch, and rug seemed like a nightmare hahah but you handled it very well

That's a very cool idea. I honestly wanted to try out a ciberypunk castle anyway. Now with the new horse ranch items I could maybe tackle that project. But not sure when I have the time for it.

So cool! I'd love to live somewhere like that! Before I somehow found houses like that respectless towards the building's history and those who once lived there... But after visiting Malta where there are old buildings everywhere, and people still live in them, convenience stores inside an old house with the automatic doors inside the old archways, etc. I... Kind of grew to like them, honoring the once who once lived there by still using it rather letting it go to waste..!

Yes exactly. Most of the abandoned castles/churches etc. would turn into ruins anyway. It’s definitely more expensive to renovate such buildings than to build a new house. But it’s also special and for people interested in preserving the history or architecture it’s definitely a dream. Malta is also way up on my list of places I’d like to go.
