Yannis understood the assignment when Simon was scooping up the lime and the bag was going to block the camera. That Gen Z skillset when a hand darted out to keep the bag out of the way to get the good shot. 😁 I appreciate Simon and Yannis more every day in these videos.

Coming from the USA where everything is fast paced, it’s nice to see traditions remain in other countries even though in this modern world it can be inconvenient to have stores close for two hours midday. I love that it allows families to have lunch together even if that might not happen all the time. I made it a rule when my children were in school that we have dinner at the table together every night. Sports sometimes got in the way of our dinner time but I insisted on those evenings that we all ate prior to the game or practice. It wasn’t always easy but my children all went to college, they’re happy, loving, good adults who are repeating the example I set with their own families. So, I hope the tradition of giving French workers time to be with their families never goes away. xx. Also, Yannis is a gem!!

@barbarasmith2693

Spouse of an American architect here! You are rightly describing it as cove molding. Cove molding (or moulding) and crown molding , although similar in decorative function, are two different things. The main difference is the profile; cove molding has a concave profile, which bows inward, while crown molding has a convex profile. It makes sense when you think of a cove being a curved part of a coast that dips inwards toward the mainland. Hence, cove molding dips inwards towards the wall. Crown molding does (mainly) the opposite. Billy, might I suggest two possible helps for washing off the distemper: get a microfiber mop with a handle to save your neck and shoulders and a handheld pump style sprayer to save your finger from repetitive stress injury.

IDK Billy. But I would think it would be easier to clean the ceiling with a sponge mop. You would have the aid of the long handle and it would squeeze out easier as well. I've used a sponge mop before to help clean walls. Would think it would help just the same. Won't know unless you try it.

Hi Billy, I became confined to a wheelchair due to a broken back but I was determined I would not let it stop me from doing everything I use to do, one of those things was decorating, I had to devise a way to decorate ceilings, I used a sponge squeegee mop because it has a flat surface and you can squeeze it out. The reason I am saying about it is a mop like that would make washing the ceilings so much easier on your arms and shoulders, you will be able to reach a bigger area so could get the washing of the ceilings done a lot quicker. I'm absolutely loving the longer videos thank to you all for hard work. Love as always xxxx

That washing down may well be the best way to get the job done, but my it is hard work and really hurts the arms neck and shoulders. I am too old and have too much spinal wear, tear and accumulated damage, but I envy the way that you can do such essential work. Having breaks probably reduces the risk of becoming worn by the work.
