Those are rivets ( the ones for the door handle). You can drill them out next time.... usually made of aluminium, so very easy to drill out.

We started our own build on our house and i guess, in the beginning it's looking and trying "the flow" where you will enter in and then everything goes more smooth, you can see that you are starting to get in the flow, so keep it up. Like always, beautiful work don.

Laura, you can tell you’re the artist. The way you used the brush on the door. What is happening to the holes in the wall, over Dan’s left shoulder? Yes, measure it as many times as you want to be sure it gets done properly. Once you cut it, theres no going back. Good informative video. That door handle looked to have been attached with rivets. In theory, you should be able to remove the softer metal pin through with a drill. Uncle Nick could probably have given you some pointers. :-) Nice progress.

Personally I would not put a metal window frame in a metal door, or any door especially here in the heat we get in summer as metal expands when hot and could break the glass. A wood frame and door are far better.. Hope you are enjoying the rain 3 more days so fill your tanks as you ll need it in summer, mine 35,000gallons and all but full. and just sown the last of my spring crop

To get paint of metal objects you can use fire. Heat the area vith a blowtorch or something and just scrape the paint of.

Another bit done and another step forward. Ive noticed that the americans off grid tv type shows are using the underground root cellars that use the earths underground tempriture to keep food good. May be worth at look online at some of these for hints. In scotland we just keep the milk outside as its bloody freezin here all the time.lol. Good luck and keep up all the great work. David H

If you use the well and lower the things that need to be cold is a great way to keep your food cold enough to preserve it. I had used one before and it really works.well. It would be good to have one of those hand winches to raise and lower a box that you put your items in. Love to hear your thoughts .

See if you can change the height of the barn to make the mezzanine wider. Keep strong. 💪💪
