Wow! You just put together a luxury kitchen. It is gorgeous and I mean gorgeous. You, my dear, are amazing! I've been in my home for 16 years. It was built in 62 and the kitchen had bright YELLOW Formica. I did an upgrade countertop color change to black about 10 years ago and I'm ready to do it all bc who knows how long it will be until a formal remodel and I just found my dream kitchen and it's yours. I've watched dozens of people do this, professionally and DIY and IMO yours is by far the loveliest one. Thank you for sharing it with us. You are remarkable and so talented. I just subbed.

Hey Tiera I love how your kitchen came out I think it looks absolutely incredible!! You are definitely setting a new standard for people that are trying to rent a home but also want to have a very stylish kitchen. Just because you're renting doesn't mean that your that your house can't become your home. Also I wanted to ask, could you link the adhesive that you used for the cabinets, also the paper board that you used for them as well? P.S. I think what would be really cool would be if you added a faux range hood to the existing cabinets above the stove I've never really seen anyone (as in a renter) do that before and I think it would really set off your kitchen.

Aww thank you. Yes, I also added the construction paper just to add extra protection because I haven’t used this specific vinyl before I’ve used others and it’s come off with no residue but since I wasn’t sure about this one, I wanted to be cautious.

The cabinets did take I would say total maybe two weeks just because I put so much detail into it with the trim trying to find paint, building the upper cabinets etc. and I was also was doing other projects in between so I’d say roughly a week to two weeks.

Simply beautiful job! If I may make a suggestion. You may want to put up a protective barrier behind the stove top for cooking. A clear tempered glass or something would help and not take away from the design.

Aww thank you ☺️ I just used simple plywood. I believe I used the thinness which was 1/4 so it wasn’t too heavy and a 2 x 4 to attach it to. Also, if you have a staple gun, I recommend getting longer staples. If not, just use regular nails to keep it attached.

Good job! Did you paint the base of the island, or is that paper as well? If so, how did you do the little triangle pieces? I do think the pantry doors are a bit busy with all the trim but still looks good. When you eventually move out to you plan on removing all that? Did you remove all the stuff you did to your apartment? If so, do you have video of that?

Can you help me do my kitchen
@fiestygemini23792 күн бұрын
I'm really intrigued if those doing this work in rentals 1) asked their landlord permission first and 2) how was the removal process, was there 'glue residue'? I'm not sure if this person is a renter or home owner but YT keeps showing me these videos.
@TieraLovelle2 күн бұрын
@@fiestygemini2379 hello well you could just ask me. I am a renter. My landlord does know what I’m doing. They’ve seen it and they love it actually and many of my videos I have said speak to your landlord for anything that would be more permanent like painting. if you watch the video, you would specifically see me put paper underneath my peel and stick to reduce any residue on products that I’m unfamiliar with, when there’s products I know and have used before I can rely on them. I don’t have to worry about that, but I specifically took measures in order to reduce any chance of residue from the adhesive being left glue residue can be removed. Just use goo gon or a blow dryer if you ever have an issue with that. And the only time you don’t have to ask their landlord is if you’re using things that are removable and are renter friendly, that do not cause damage or harm to the property. It’s like putting in a sofa,carpet or curtains. It can be gone when you leave if you do anything that would cause holes or permanent change you need to speak with your landlord. You do not need to speak with the landlord for instance, to put up a full upper shelf that is not attached to the the kitchen cabinets at all it just sits there like a decorative piece of art on top. And every country, state, province, etc., has their own rules of what a renter can and cannot do when I move to a place I speak with my landlord ahead of time because I know I’m gonna do makeovers because that’s some thing that I love to do and I look for houses that I can change my landlords have actually even given me permission to rip up the carpet and put new floors down I think it’s great to have transparency with your landlord. If you plan on doing any changes to the space but the reason I do these videos and tell people what I specifically am doing and why is so they can also make their own decisions as to if this would work for their space. In my previous apartment, my landlord let me do whatever I want. It was a much older building. There were no rules or regulations. They didn’t really care. They thought everything I did was an upgrade anyways, so everyone has to do their own due diligence. Sometimes people fast-forward my videos or say I’m talking too much. They don’t necessarily listen to what I say, but I do give disclaimers and all my of my videos as to what and why I’m doing it and what I think would work for them I try to help people and push them in the right direction of what is rent friendly what is not And the potential cautions they should be taking I have seen many people do things that are not renter friendly in their spaces but everything I do I try to make sure it is safe for a rental and if it’s not, I make sure to tell people in the video that I had permission ahead of time to do whatever it is that I did.
