Is teslacam active when renting a hertz Tesla? I always wondered whether your drives are recorded and stored including the in cabin cam.

In the vehicle I had, I couldn’t enable sentry mode, as the vehicle was in a valet-like mode that restricted several things, including the top speed and acceleration, but there was a flash drive in the glove box.

Do you recall if the charging kit comes with a 220v adapter to plug into a dryer outlet?

@@pinoyclass the vehicle we had did have a 220v adapter, but I wouldn’t rely on the vehicle actually having one. The rental car agencies don’t seem to pay attention much to the charging equipment.

Does the hertz Tesla have a decent sound system and is apple car play available ?

Decent sound system, yes, but like all Teslas, no Apple car play, at least not natively. There is an add on device that allows for Apple CarPlay.

That’s cool the airport let’s you plug in. My MYP is running at those PSI. I think I should inflate them 😅 Did you see a difference in road noise between your single pane windows vs that dual pane? I noticed it between my 2020 M3LR (early build) vs my 2022 MYP. The dual pane is quieter.

Yes, there was a noticeable drop in road noise in the cabin. I thought the more premium feel came from the minor changes to the interior trim, but the noise reduction probably contributed as well!

I noticed that during autopilot the screen was giving some blue flashes and you always pressed the right side button on the steering wheel. what is that ? ty

Thanks for watching. That’s a safety feature where you have to put pressure on the steering wheel or touch the scroll wheels every few seconds to demonstrate that you’re paying attention (and not sleeping) while on autopilot. If you don’t respond after several warnings, autopilot disengages and you can’t use autopilot for the rest of the drive.

Yes, all Teslas have route planning that recommends Supercharger locations on the route.
