It was definitely a faster pace compared to the previous episodes. I noticed that, especially with this episode, when we had Isagi thinking about his next move, we would get those slide show and still frame animations. They try to show the thoughts people are having all in a given moment that it just takes away from the animation and slows the action going on on the field. In this, their was very little thinking and more action because of that. I'm not defending the company for putting out these power point presentations but this episode felt like it was from season 1.

17:28 Julzdot I swear to you that if this arc wasn't the most forgetable arc in all of the 300 chapters manga people would be way way more worked up than they are rn. Literally no one remembers what happened in this arc aside from Reo and Isagi tapping into the Sharingan and Byakugan respectively. Also Shidou as a character is so good but they have legit skipped over every single line of dialogue he had in the manga. Imagine Goj- no wait that's too much... imagine Todo had like 70% of his dialogue from the manga removed. It's crazy.

19:51 its so interesting to see anime onlys thought process and theories on who sae is gonna pick as someone who reads the manga when I was first reading I had some of the same thoughts my personal theory was that it was Nagi due to the fact Nagi is considered a genius by everyone just like sae and he's known for receiving passes something that Itoshi Sae as a Midfielder should be good at, now if im saying nagi was the one picked I will not confirm nor deny to keep anime only's attention while at the same time not spoiling, but all 3 of those picks were very realistic, also side note loved the animation increase on this episode I have only been genuinely upset about a manga getting a bad adaptation 1 time before now with the Berserk anime but blue lock became an anime that if someone asked if I would recommend after those first 3ish episodes I would probably say no and to just read the manga however with this episode I have a little bit of hope again for Japan U-20 Match imo the greatest arc in all of Sports animanga
