The huge impact Andy Kim's campaign has _already_ had they didn't mention here is that he single-handedly brought down New Jersey's bizarre, arcane party machine system of picking nominees, in which preferential spots on the primary ballot (e.g. being listed on the same party-endorsed "ticket" as Biden) were decided at conventions dominated by obscure party bosses. He was running against the literal first lady of the state with all the political connections she has to these party officials, and through mobilizing enough people who were sick of this convoluted process (which of course is conducive to all kinds of corruption), he was actually able to pull off a few surprise wins at these conventions, so much so that first lady Tammy Murphy has withdrawn from the race. Can't wait to see what he does as senator!

Who cares if he's the least NJ candidate? NJ still needs to change the whole system that enable corruption there from the mob days. The state has way too little economy for being a peninsula and bordering Philly and NYC.

We saw that our taxes were going to Chris Christie's stomach when he closed down a public beach for him and his family after he lost reelection. I don't think voters still want "New Jersey." only way to fix,, Elections should be funded solely by the Fed or the state, with a fixed amount available to all qualified candidates rather than relying on private donations. This could help ensure fairness and reduce the influence of money in politics.

You know….pay close attention to how some congressmen and women speak at this level as compared to how senators speak….and ask yourself “what happens to them and their legit values on their way “up” to the senate level?” I see the answer plain as day…do you? I was (incredibly) able to intern with Kim when I was in college. He has some amazing stories about his time at Deep Springs College and having traversed America with his friend until their car broke down. I really hope he becomes Senate Majority Leader, Governor, or President one day. His loyalty to our district and to his values is amazing; he'll even do town halls in the heavily Republican areas of our district.
