Are there plans to make a 1.25 pound micro adjustment plate and/or a stand to hold the dumbbells?
@REPfitness Жыл бұрын
@@time.4174 Stand yes. The 2.5lb adder weights give you increments like 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20... but yes, great idea to add the 1.25lb micro adjustments if people want 11.25, etc.
@time.4174 Жыл бұрын
@@REPfitnessThanks that’s what I was thinking. A 1.25lb micro plate option would allow users to progress more slowly and methodically since sometimes a 2.5lb increase is too much when we’re nearing the top end of what we can push.

I never did either, until I did. Stuff happens, especially when you are pushing your limits. Thankfully my Powerblocks handled it just fine, as they did here as well until they were higher than anybody is realistically going to drop them from. Would not recommend it though.

I agree, Zaine. I'm 67, and was taught back in the 70's that if you can't hang on through the whole movement, you've got too much weight on (except for Olympic lifts). Barbells, plates and even fixed dumbbells can break with enough abuse.

@plmn93 Жыл бұрын
Nuobell is absolute junk. Even if you don't drop them they will fail eventually because they use tiny plastic cam followers to move the rods in and out. And when they do inevitably fail you can't fix them, you have to buy a whole new handle. Ridiculous for something that expensive.

Can I do deadlifts and squats without the brackets rubbing against my legs? I like to do them with the dumbbells as close to my legs as possible. Are these weight-balanced so that the brackets are always facing downwards, or can I turn the handle so the brackets can face outwards? Powerblocks have this problem.
