Mine had the same issue with the battery only the buttons weren’t working as well. Got the new battery in from eBay and followed your video. Gave my psp a deep clean and now it’s good as new but for some reason I was left with two extra screws 😂

Amazing! my UMD door is similar, still intact but the left side is loose and doesn’t close cleanly, is a door replacement needed or maybe a clean of the spring / hinges, wondering if there’s anything to do without a full strip, Cheers

Unfortunately in ordero to clean or replace the door part it must be stripped down.

so does that mean it is charging when it flashes like that, never had a 1000 model and the one I had when it was charging is a solid colour.

My nephew gave me a psp 1000 or 2000 years ago but it was secondhand and it alrrady had cracks in the screen on both sides. One time the battery was cracked and it looked like something was about to leak out from it so i removed it and played with charger on from that point bc i never had a new battery. Idk what happened but after a while it looked like there was moist behind the screen so you saw dark stains and another time there were a few lines through the screen and at spots where these lines were, it looked like the screen was duplicated or something, it showed the same piece of the game twice, it's really weird and idk it was pretty much unusable after that, i still have it but idk how to repair it on my own and idk anyone else to do it for me either so that kinda sucks, i miss that system tho!

If you feel comfortable enough just follow my steps. You just have to be very careful with the screen they shatter very easily.

Pls i already need help my umd is not reading umds, My umd reader works the red thingy is working and the circle thingy that supposed to spin is spinning but it wont read my umd, i have clean the insides of my psp and also the umd but it still not working, when i tried the umd is just spinning and the umd is not showing in my psp pls help
