I never get tired of Jay's little comedic comments. "We can definitely cut back on what we're doin. Two screws per thats it." Jay reminds me of every funny carpenter I ever worked with over the years. And there's always one!

I feel that Jay is comic relief. As opposed to Ray who is getting it done without the drama. I also see Ray getting better at the job. Improving. Learning. Jay tells us how to add a JH. Very technical LOL.

Another lil tip for hangers is to use a dab of construction glue or lexel on the seat of the hanger which can help with unwanted squeaking between the metal and wood. Not necessary but a nice touch.

Pro tip #3 for those joist hangers. Use the rack of nails for a positive placement nailer. Twist the top one half way, so it's still attached by the paper, and that way you don't risk whacking your finger tips.

Have you ever considered using end cut preservative on your pressure treated lumber cuts? I have seen on numerous occasions where the majority of the board is intact but the cut starts to rot fairly quickly such that after 8-10 years the boards need replacing. Your crew is so quality oriented that I was surprised on not seeing this tip (especially on posts in direct contact with the ground. Always look forward to your new videos. :)
