I found your channel by accident a couple of years back just when Jamie had his accident. Love watching the good, honest, conscientious and fun way you guys work together!! Refreshing to see people who actually care about the end product and work they give to their end clients! Vary rare in this day and age, especially in the construction industry here in the UK!!! Favourite statement of the day was "If you pull on anything long enough, it will stretch", comment but, would have expected that to have come from Jason not Ray!!! :) Keep up the good work gents!!

My sprayer will not build pressure correctly, I’ve sent them videos as requested and they will not help me. I just thought you guys might want to know before you endorse a company. I purchased the sprayer after seeing it on your channel. Endorsing a company and or product is a direct reflection on you and your company. I have spent over 40 years in the construction industry and am well versed on how to use the tool regardless of what Vevor is trying to say to me. Keep up the great work and stay strong

How much more does applying the ice and water shield add to the cost of the roof?
@shmubob9 ай бұрын
I think it's about $200 for a 200sqft roll. I guess that job needed 2-3 rolls? So 600 for materials and a half day of labor for 2? That's a complete guess on the quantities and labor, I'd love to hear the full answer!
@Beandiptheredneck9 ай бұрын
@shmubob it would take two guys no more than 2 hours to underlay that roof. Although I'd estimate the material cost to be more
@FJB20209 ай бұрын
Depends on what roofing you are using.. metal roof requires the high temp ice and warer shield, and it starts at $1.50 per sqft plus install costs. If regular shingles, it starts at $1.25 per sqft.

@ching5749 ай бұрын
if your struggling on rafter systems just get yourself a rafter book measure from outside to outside of building or structure and look it up in the book it will give you the measurement from the birds mouth to the center of ridge beam so if this situation you would have just subtracted 3/4 from the number in the book and bam easy money no fus as long as your building is square your good

The beauty of wood frame construction is its super easy to repair and modify, and when you consider that most European buildings with stone walls, still utilize a wood frame floor and roof, its really not that different
@matisb46059 ай бұрын
@@Beandiptheredneckyeah the roof is wood but we use roof tiles that last way longer than the gravel-tar-things they put on and most floors are steel reinforced concrete. and you also have the lower cost of wood framing so that’s a pro

Hey perky bros, you should start a page where you answer DIY questions in terms of what to do for the most random house DIY projects that we all face as there are NO trustable tradesmen in los Angeles and I don't know how to go about fixing most of my house. I need a suggestion on if I should fill in cinder blocks that hold my shed/house up as they are hollow, and rats run across the whole perimeter of the shed. I feel like this may make moister issues worse unless I fill them only halfway. lol random I know but I'm like on Jay's level of knowing what to do haha jk :)
