One Repair man episode should actually have him repair damage. Say someone spilled some soda on the parts, and because of it, the video is all messed up, distorted, and discolored (presumably by using filters and simple effects). throughout the video, in short bursts these errors get fixed and the quality eventually returns to normal. (don't you DARE touch the audio quality if you do this, unless its a short burst at the beginning and is the first thing fixed). Ofcourse, for entertainment purposes, there should be periods where the quality goes down as he messes up or is testing / replacing parts.

I think I may have finally developed my Rift World theory: the viewer is a test subject for Clemmons, perhaps the only one, and is being experimented on to see the effects of a mental disorder, perhaps schizophrenia or some other one that involves delusions and hallucinations, as used for some unclear purpose. The reason Clemmons videos and Repairman videos are less supremely zany and out there are because this is when the treatment/experiment, which I believe involves machinery designed to regulate brain function, is either not in effect at the moment or malfunctioning. This means that these visits and breaks into the real world are because Clemmons is not inducing increased symptoms during his visits so he can coherently talk to you, and the Repairman visits are to fix the machinery causing the patient to have these hallucinations, meaning it's not working. I also don't think Clemmons holds the patient hostage, or that he is necessarily evil, and that perhaps the viewer signed on for this, and lives normally, but occasionally visits. So Clemmons is a scientist experimenting on his willing patient, and the Repairman helps fix the device once it malfunctions. So why increase schizophrenia or delusions/hallucinations? Who knows. And what about every other character? Are they not real? Not necessarily. For instance, the Candy Man may be a drug dealer for whom the patient sees as a candy salesman. Chris Crinkle may also be related to crime, due to his shady business. The other Clemmons is a normal doctor seen as a plague one, and so on and so forth... But these personalities lead me to believe the viewer is an ex-convict, and the reason why Clemmons can experiment on him. He is involved with drug dealers and shady salesmen, not to forget spies (Yuri Puki) and silent individuals who seem clumsy because the viewer has threatened/harmed them before, and they're afraid to cross him (Green Man). Now why does everyone look the same? Simple: schizophrenics think everyone is out to get them, and so the patient sees them all as the same person. This ephemeral rift is called that because that's what it is for us as the participating viewer: a non-permanent break from reality into hallucinations and delusions initiated by Clemmons for some unclear purpose. I know this isn't written the best, but this was spur of the moment, and I just wanted to elaborate. In any case, awesome video ER, and sorry if I think too much! XD
