Replace Blower Motor Resistor On A Land Rover Discovery Series II

No heat in your Discovery Series II? Is the air conditioning not blowing cold air? Does your blower only operate in high speed setting?

I'm taking apart my Disco's blower motor to clean it out and relube the spindle. I didn't think about checking and cleaning the resistor's heat sink until I saw this video. Cheers!

Just bought a D2 last year. AC was always blowing kinda rough making loud noise. Finally went out. AC compressor idler bearing was replaced, ended up burning out my AC compressor. Had that replaced. Now on to the Blower motor. Thank you so much for posting this. Definitely need to invest in some new tools because these are very tiny spaces where the bolts are.

Great video I’ve just change the resistor on a discovery 3 I have A discovery in Cyprus with no air-conditioning no blower at all I’ve tried everything so when I went back to the UK I ordered a resistor from Brits parts just changed it very easy to do everything is back up and running Aircon is lovely heaters lovely very easy to change once you drop the Glove box

This is usually the part you need if your battery keeps dying (parasitic Draw) on your Range Rover l322.

Questions,Does anyone know after changing this resistor do we have to reset anything? The reason that I’m asking is because I change the resistor and it didn’t work I took it to the dealer they changed the same resistor that I bought and it worked I asked them how come it works when they changed it obviously they didn’t answer me thank you

Great video. Now my blower does not turn on at all. I've tested in and it worked and Ive tested the head unit and it works I also here the relays clicking down there when I turn on the head unit. If the Blower motor resister is blown that could cause it to not work at all correct?

I replaced the resistor and blower wheel and my settings won't allow me to change it from high. It will not work in any other setting thoughts?

My blower works, but I feel there is air escaping from the vents. when I change the air mode options on my climate control it doesn't make difference accept the air level works. Also my heater works just fine. Please advise thanks in advance

Speaking of mice.. I purchased a 1995 p38 Range Rover SE 4.0 that needs the engine wiring harness spliced back together because of mice. Anyone have a good clear picture of the harness and / or know where I can find the proper schematic? Seems simple enough just orange to orange etc but not sure what’s what without a diagram or tracing every single wire. 🤯
