Replace F150 Top Windshield Molding

I’ve got a huge question I’ve got a 2018 but I bought it without that top molding and the molding that goes all the way around the windshield… I haven’t been able to find it, I looked through rockauto but there’s so many moldings that I’m not sure which one it is

Howdy! I've done some digging for 2018 moldings. On all the pictures I can find, I don't think I see any exterior moldings. Ford also does not seem to offer them for that year truck. If you have a leak, it could be the windshield was replaced and they didn't do a very good job with the sealant at the top of the windshield. Thanks!

Could you please post link to the windshield top molding. Same problem here, but having trouble finding it. Windshield replace shops are saying newer models the molding comes with a new windshield. Thanks.

Howdy! I don't recall exactly what I bought it, but I think if you go to rockauto.com and search for Precision WFTD1256, that should be the one for 97-03. Hope that helps. Thanks!

Heh. I pulled over but it's was 0500 and I didn't see it on the road so I didn't want to traipse around in the dark. More reason why you shouldn't tailgate an old Ford.

So no glue is needed under molding? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm going to try to replace the moldimg that goes in same area on my 09 civic upper window 😂but not sure if i need to just instal or use glue under molding. I appreciate any adviCe that you give me. Thank you!

Didn't come with glue, just the adhesive strip on the back of the molding.

It was never leaking. Just that the molding came detached and flew off. It's been perfect since though.

Mine is leaking hopefully this is an easy fix to that

Mine ended being the sealant under the windshield. Had to replace the windshield nobody would remove it for fear of breaking the glass

@@MrPopescu86 no, this molding is not to protect from a leak. There is a gasket around the windshield.
