The rubber plug in the back disc is for adjusting the parking brake, make sure the handbrake is off, position the rubber plug at 6 o’clock and remove the plug, with a flat bladed screwdriver adjust the star wheel inside the drum to loosen the brake shoes. Then replace the brake disc. Then again with the new brake disc on, use the screwdriver to tighten the shoes until the brake disc no longer turns. This will seat the brake shoes in place. Then slowly loosen the star wheel adjuster until the brakes release. You want to feel a little resistance and just hear the brake shoes touching. Then replace the rubber plug. Hope this helps.

Just watched this video now after changing my CR-V pads, to note also from other videos, the wear indicator plate is on the wrong side so your inner pads should have been swapped around to opposite wheels, am i right?

That’s crazy that those new pads didn’t come with hardware. I work for an auto parts store and both our mid grade and top of the line pads come with hardware. It’s only the bottom tier pads that don’t but you do get a small pack of lube.

Look at 22:04 area to see the ratchet adjustment. Basically, you adjusted the clearance through the hole, but not to the point of the parking brake dragging.
