I Have more Than a Dozen in Some of my Junk & They Just Work & Very Quietly to ! They Are Definitely Not The Cheapest Fans out Their But I Also Know That Ya Get What Ya Pay For !

So, replacing the fan would be considered an unauthorized modification, correct? If the rig needed warranty service at a later date, but within warranty, would you be out of luck?

That would be correct. Probably voids the warranty. That's the risk your taking if you decide to modify your radios.

Hmm.. are you sure about the performance of this new fan. Did you measure the air blow from this new fan?. Where the fanblade pitch the same ? And what about the fan speed?

How are you liking your om2k capt ? Anything you don’t like about it ?

Hello Jay, I've sold my OM2000+. Very heavy, noisy cooling fans, and got my room very warm. Other than that, it was a nice amplifier.

@@DarrenN4VFR thanks Darren. I decided to pass on them due to recent review issues.

Noticeably quieter, but it is worth bearing in mind that the original fan is far more powerful and rated for greater back pressure. Probably a great swap if you don't drive your radio with high power, high duty cycle modes. The 7300 does control the voltage at the fan connector according to demand for cooling. I know this is a popular modification.... 73

This radio which I modified the fan on is no longer used as my primary HF rig. It's new purpose is POTA and running 100 watts. So far no issues because of being outside where there is more ventilation for the radio. Additionally, one will not be running full power to an amplifier which will not overheat the 7300. 73's de N4VFR

I don’t think I’ve ever heard my 7300 standard fan, it’s very quite.
