I was wondering does all plywood decking on rvs & motor homes measure 8'5"? have 1999 fleetwood prowler when measuring side to side it is 8'.5" someone told me have to buy 4'×10' plywood & cut to fit but doesnt make sense that 10' plywood cut down to 8'5"?

Plywood is only 4x8. Good luck trying find 10 ft plywood. OSB comes in 9 ft. They call it tall wall. You can get it at Lowe's.

You should use the same brand adhesive as the membrane us my suggestion, however, most membrane adhesives are compatible. I use the same brand adhesive as the membrane because that's what was used during ASTM testings. Thanks for watching.

Do you sand all of it or just the seams. Is it ok to put new adhesive on top of the old ?

Found it. Wow is the 2014 roof different than the 2018 with respect to whats on them (i.e. AC's, Vents, etc) but no curbs like you do. I'm not having issues (yet), however, when I do, do you get warranty work from Grand Design for roof replacements?

Change your AC gasket every 2 years. Torque the AC down, not tighten. Very similar to valve cover gaskets. When you torque the gasket it should be bulged a bit not squashed. I always use a compatible caulk under the gasket. Sashco makes Leak Stopper clear patch or Big Stretch, that is a water based. Do not use a urethane caulk it will eat the gasket.

I have question about the membrane, after much research, if the membrane has black backing than it's EPDM but if the back side is not black than it's TPO, so are you using TPO or EPDM and if so what in your opinion makes one better over the other? Thank you.

You are trying to compare RV roofing with commercial roofing. You are correct on identifying RV membrane. Commercial TPO membranes have gray, black, maybe a tannish...there are different colors to the base so manufacturers know what's theirs. We use Carlisle 60 mil structured TPO membrane. @@edwardbromley4488 GAF is hard to deal with. They don't seem to care about the small contractors. Unless you're rolling out 50 rolls of roofing a week they don't help. Also the suppliers in my area don't want to deal with GAF. We tried ordering from other supply houses and the rolls were always damaged. Lastly, they have changed the warranty wording. I had a customer come in for a quote, we patched his roof, explained the warranty not once, not twice, but 3 times..he then asked again....4 times! I told him to find another shop. Long story short, GAF along with almost every other manufacturer doesn't want to warranty RVs because they move to much and because most installers install incorrectly and they get swamped with warranty claims. Carlisle is a great product, great support, local to get. I like the way it welds better than GAF. So that's it in a nut shell. My GAF rep wasn't really going to bat for me on damaged rolls....bla bla bla. Thanks for watching.

Can you please tell me what sealent do you recommend for around my roof vents. by watching your videos I know how you feel about the dicor lap sealant (just put more on, moron). Would you recommend just a regular construction adhesive caulk for those areas?

If you have EPDM on the camper...you can use any rubber lap sealant. Dicor is manufacturered by Carlisle Syntec so you could use their brand. Thanks for watching.
