An easier solution, place a 4x4 on the opposite end, with that end under the opposit lip, bend the board down under the lip on the other end and tap the 4x4 out, it will snap in place, don't cut the frame.

It’s only a 10’ trailer. We could bend it far enough to get it in.

Just did mine yesterday. Clamp a piece of 3” angle iron to the top rail at one end, put a bottle jack between that and the board, jack the center of the board up with a floor jack from underneath then use the bottle jack to push the loose end of the board down into place

Did you paint the metal under the boards before installing the boards?
@northmsoutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes, I did.

I use to build trailes and the strip of metal at the front of the floor was just tacked in. Only needed to cut the tack welds to replace the floor.
@northmsoutdoors Жыл бұрын
It was but it was tacked in a place we could not get to with the grinder to cut it.
@northmsoutdoors11 ай бұрын
Yes. It was no trouble.

You should really wear ear protection when you're cutting and grinding like that

I didn't have to cut anything or weld anything
@northmsoutdoorsАй бұрын
Yes, if the trailer is long enough you can bend the boards and pop them in place. Cutting and welding was just easier for me.
