Mine is a 98. Just bought it, more of a backup vehicle for emergencies. So far that's the only real issue is my kid having a hard time getting into the back seat

Got the middle seat out! Put down a piece of plywood to prevent tripping on the brackets and wires. Overall it really doesn't look bad

Can the center brackets be removed if you unbolt the driver and passenger seat? I wanna put a big sub woofer in between the seats

I think so, im pretty sure each seat has its own separate brackets. If not you could always cut them with a sawzall.

How do you put the middle console down? Just bought a 1997 idk if it's stuck. Is there a button or lever?

It down in the crack in between the driver seat and the middle seat where the metal joint is. You just kind of put your hand there on it when you want to close it. @@Archanon79 try shimming it while moving it down rocking it left to right, it has like weird brackets to stay in place really old design. Hard to say through text as @Are Jay said.

Lol, its a work truck, I use a leaf blower with the doors open on it every week or two. But since this is the slow season I dont even do that.
