Replacing Drawer/Cabinet Hardware :: Tips & Techniques

My daughter bought new hardware for her bathroom cabinets and drawers but the hardware didn't match the holes from the original hardware. I needed to come up with a good way to make matching holes repeatable and easy. I used Bondo Body Filler to fill the holes I wasn't going to use and made a jig to make drilling new holes easy and accurate. Watch the process.

Just found this vid while looking for resources on filling my kitchen cabinet holes- I want to change from single knobs to 2-screw handles. Unfortunately my cabinetry is a kind of printed wood laminate so I’ll keep searching for ways to patch that up. However, the jig idea is brilliant! I’ll be using that. Thanks so much ☺️🍓

Too hard for me to do. I need to change out 14 pulls on my new RV because they are sharp edged and cut us. Camping World says warrenty doesn’t cover changing them out even though they are razor sharp. You’re a great dad. 👍
