Replacing key case for Toyota Corolla Verso 2009

I bought key case for Toyota Corolla Verso5 from ebay and I would like to share my experience trying to replacing the damaged old key case with new one. I hope it is useful for somebody!

Thanks for the video, very helpfull, I ran into teh very same little "problems" as you did (things a bit stuck, gave me the sign to push harder etc. ). But also the same remark as below here : change the transponder to or the car won't start. It's a little "vulcanic" little "stone" to be seen as in the remark below. This makes off course all the difference :) Thanks for the effort, helped a lot !

Immobiliser! Great video but make sure you take small black Immobiliser out and move into new key fob!

You did not put transpoder from old key case to new one so it wont work untill you do this.you can see the transponder at 25:56 in the left hand to the left next to were the hole is a oblong shaped transpoder that goes in the new key case.

Thank you for reminding me to add this valuable information ! What you said is 100% right and it happend to me next day. So I took the transponder from old key and install it in the new case and then it start the car :).

Yep, thats what happened to me too. Did notice it, but thought not important as it wasn’t shown in the vid 😊

Thanks for this comment. I had to search for the old key in the trash bin to find the transponder. Finally my key worked but I really did not notice the transponder. The video maker should add a banner on the video to warn the watchers thanks!

Huge thank you for the comprehensive video tutorial. You saved me a lot of hesitation about whether I need to brake the original key case in order to open it. In my case it was even glued - so obviously Toyota decided to force you buying new key even if you need to change only the battery. And about the transponder - I also went first only through the video, then stucked in the car trying to start the engine , failed miserably :D came back to the comment section :D and Voila, everything set and works perfectly :) I want to just advise you to either put the transponder info in the description or in the title like ""Transponder info in the comments". Best regards from Bulgaria.

Borra el vídeo anda que confundes a la gente y no lo has hecho bien porque no has puesto el chip transpondedor sin el cual el coche nunca arrancará elimina el vídeo
