Replacing Our Chevy C10's Window Weatherstripping

Today in the shop we are changing out the window weatherstripping on our Chevrolet C10. When restoring a classic car or a classic truck, you'll find that the weatherstripping is usually old, hard and breaking apart. Which those problems can cause squeaks, water leaks, air noises and raddles. Fixing these problems is not hard...as long as you go with a high quality product. Just installed a set yesterday and man my glass is hard as hell to roll up and down now. The seal is installed correctly and I’m sure it’ll take some time for it to loosen up. What’s your experience as far as that goes?

I have similar problem with my old stripping, I got some spray lithium grease and fixed it right up. Did you figure out a solution?

Hello. Yesterday, I replaced the passenger side power window motor (acdelco) and it worked good until today when I replaced the window channel guide seal and now it struggles and won't go all the way up without me pushing it up. Did I do something wrong or does the seal need to break in or what?

Our '73 is being worked on and doesn't have the weatherstripping at the top of the door as I've seen on others. Is this correct?
