So what’s wrong with just putting it in service modes. Several button pressing and you’re done. What so difficult? I have not done these brakes yet but I have easily tested myself putting it in service mode.

Didn’t work so I did it my way
@charlosrossi7 ай бұрын
What’s wrong is that the stupid little motors sometimes can’t even depress the piston all the way so you end up shoving it in with your thumbs and a 12v jumper anyway.

@@charlosrossi i see. Yeh I hate all this new tech that in my opinion is not needed. I never use emergency brake in 45 years of driving and never regretted it or needed it

Hello from North Carolina!! Love your Videos, by the way. They're VERY helpful!! So, I'm having trouble finding a replacement 'brake master cylinder' for my 2001 Lexus ES300. I bought a 'guarantee fit' NO- traction control 'brake master cylinder' from Napa Auto Parts. My mechanic tried to put it on, didn't fit. He spoke with the folks at Napa and they told him the 'part' had been packaged wrong and they would send out another one. Tried the 'new' master cylinder and you guessed it... the part doesn't fit...Meanwhile we're awaiting Napa to find out what the issue is on their end. My mechanic said he would also contact Lexus to double the part. Of course, as you know, Lexus no longer makes 'brake master cylinders' for older model cars. Hopin' you can help!! Thanks so much✌🏽

That is a ridiculous amount of work and time to be fiddling around with the actuator, instead of putting it in service mode

@@RBTheMechanic I found out with my 2020 Rav4 the way everyone says would work didn't. Then on a forum I read that at the end of the sequence to put it in service mode you need to tap the brake, then it will go into service mode. It's weird, but it worked for me.
