Might me that plug brand. I always stick to what it calls for or ngk brand plugs . Sounds good

Bought this same trimmer used the other day. They had put the same carb and plug neww off amazon also . But guess neeeed adjustments because when cold hard so hard to start and would even have ro hold the throttle down. Gave up and when to my parts dealer and bought the original oem echo carb ans also the ngk plug and like night and day. Starts quick after pushing the primer 3 times. Dknt even have to hold the throttle down anymore . Was high at $69 but for me worth it not to have to struggle to start it every time

I actually put a different carb on this weed eater because I was still having an issue and full throttle. What I found is that gasket between the motor and carb was leaking fuel and not all the fuel was making into the engine. Here is a link to the one I have on there now.
