Power Driven Diesel, why haven't you got 1 million subscribers yet? This is by far the best channel I've found on YT in recent years. As a non American I can't tell you enough how refreshing it is to watch an auto show where the members don't dress like cast members from Pirates Of the Caribbean with fake enthusiasm, or yell and throw furniture around. Here it's passion, knowledge and innovation. Great stuff. I don't even own a diesel pick up truck, but now I want one. I'm still going through your video library (so many videos, so little time). Keep up the great work. Now back to browsing Ram for sale adds...…...Cheers

Installed mine today and got it say that the most time consuming part was unbolting everything and taking the old lines out. Other than that it was a breeze putting it all back in. Also the blue lines look cool! Appreciate all that you guys and girls do for us diesel ⚙️ heads💪🏼

Trans check valve? I’m currently diagnosing an issue where I lost OD. Took these last two weeks off from work to do a bunch of different things to my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 24v Cummins + 47re. One of those projects was the installation of this kit. Read a form covering the check valve connected to the original lines. Would removal of this check valve condone to my problem of no OD? ( I still enjoy this kit, stopped my leaks for sure. )

should come with 2 red and 1 blue hose, supply and return! - ill be doing my hots red, return blue, fuel in green, coolant bypass in black. uber convenient 2006-2009 48re cooler lines do not cross the under the trans, everything is on the drivers side of the motor including both trans cooler connections, and the heat exchanger on the block (block and radiator)

Anyone have an opinion on removing a heat exchanger in a place with real winter? I have heard that it is more for warming the trans vs cooling it. Mine is rusty and it scares me a bit. I have had a failed line kill a trans before. These might be on my list soon.

PowerDrivenDiesel thanks for the reply. They’ve been on the truck for a few years no issues so far. Truck is practically bone stock. I refreshed the trans at that time as well and put a aftermarket billet converter. Only problem I started having recently is slow engagement into gear after it’s been sitting for a few days. I think it’s converter drain back but could the lines have possibly caused that? Either way not a huge deal as I’m swapping to a 5speed after winter.

Hello PDD. I am interested in your kit. I have a 1999 2500 Ram and I just had a leak in my Heat Exchanger, which I will replace. One of the coolant lines from the Heat Exchanger is a short 19 inch S shaped steel line that goes forward to a coolant junction near where the radiator hose connects to the block on the passenger side. What is this piece called? Mine is rusty and unreliable. Do you offer a hose solution to that? Connections from the Heat Exchanger to the short 19" steel line is with short rubber hoses and clamps on both ends of that short steel line. Thanks.

Or delete that useless heat exchanger, considering majority of the time by the time it’s failing and you find out, your trans is already full of coolant. Run auxiliary cooler. That’s just what I always do.
@richg.77525 жыл бұрын
The issue with that is it's a heat exchanger not just a cooler. In cold climate it uses hot engine coolant to help warm up the trans to operating temp
@richg.77525 жыл бұрын
@@uhmlmfao trans fluid does not run though the radiator. It has the air to air cooler and the heat exchanger just like what was shown in the video. I have seen people remove the exchanger and overheat transmissions because the factory air cooler is small and cant handle the job by itself. Also if having it was pointless I doubt dodge would have spent millions of dollars to produce and install them.
@richg.77525 жыл бұрын
@@uhmlmfao maybe the fluid runs through the radiator on a 6.7 like yours? I'm not sure because I don't have experience with those so you might be thinking of that but on the 12 valve like in the video it 100% does not
