great video! has the sound quality changed after you did the swap? i'd imagine there will be less sound isolation (since the cups are fabric now) and therefore weaker base

The cheap steelseries replacement cushions were ok but wan't deep enough, but the new leather ones are deeper and holds the sound in more and you don't here much sound from outside. The only problem it make the fitting tight on my head and pinches the ears a bit after long use even with the soft cushions.

Hi, is it possible to also change the memory foam skin on the headphone stem? It's ruined like yours.

​@@budi5p I have actually changed it again to leather ones. Any steelseries ear pads will fit 800X. Just make sure to get one this is deep enough so that your ears don't hit the driver as my one did. @@DIY_Easy but which type will perfectly match to elite 800x ? I've replaced stockpads with Brainwavz microsuede with deeper wall which make my ears rest (from being pressed by the drivers) and i can withstand for 2 hours playing
