I did this battery replacement and my headset microphone now echoes very loud for others I am playing with. I have no issues on my end, but everyone I play with says it is absolutely horrible to listen to me. My microphones were not glued into place. They came out with the motherboard quite easily. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that, other than seeing if you can find the wires that go to the microphone and making sure that everything still seems to have a secure connection, and is still in its proper place, I'm not entirely sure. An easier place to start may be to reinstall the firmware or check for updates on the Turtle Beach app on a PC. Though they haven't pushed out an update for this headset in years as far as I know. It seems more likely in my mind anyway that the echo could potentially be from the microphone being pulled into the headset and moving from its original position. Hope this helps and hope you can get it fixed! (Edit:) Also, since you didn't mention it, have you tried cycling through the different mic presets?

@@TECHNOBABBLE. I found it weird, this is the second battery replacement I've done in the 8 years of owning it. Last time it went smooth as possible. The replacement battery I firstly used mimicked the same style as the original. I'm wondering if maybe when I put this battery in, put it in to vertically positioned and some plastic is transferring vibration. As far as I saw the mics were set in proper before reinstalling the speaker housing. Maybe I let some wires touch where I shouldn't have and its echoing through those vibrations. The people I play with can hear me cycle through my audio presets, kind of baffled me but I will take it apart again tonight and try move things around again and then reinstall everything. Yes I tried all the different mic presets as well. As far as I'm concerned the mic is still functioning as they can hear me talk, just not in the way I used too.

Maybe, I don't know how sensitive the mics would be in relation to the wires contact points or how it deals with vibrations. I've only taken apart the headset once to do the repair, so anything I could think of as a cause is all speculation and spitballing. I don't even remember how long I've had the headset; I do know I was sad to have to kind of retire it when I moved to the Series X (shame they took the optical port off the console). Then it was a few months after I did my repair, it got knocked off its stand and shattered the plastics that clamped the left ear-cup onto the pivot/swivel point. Since then, it hasn't seen much use at all. I've debated on trying to get a headset off Ebay for parts, but even used or broken they're not particularly cheap. So, I wish you well with the repairs and getting it figured out, sorry to say I don't know exactly what the cause of your problems could be.

@@TECHNOBABBLE. I am using an hdmi splitter to get audio optical port off of my ps5's hdmi cord. I couldn't believe they took the optical port off the new units. How do you like the series x? I was considering moving to the turtle Beach stealth pro headeset

I really enjoy it. Though people aren't wrong in saying that Microsoft doesn't have the strongest library of modern exclusives, everything they do have is practically all available on the Series X. Especially thanks to backwards compatibility all the way back to the original Xbox, both digitally and physically. Considering I've been an Xbox gamer since the 360 it's a good fit. Little self-promotion here I have a review comparing a bunch of Turtle Beach headsets I have - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4jNeIBsZrWMjpY if you haven't checked it out. It's probably a bit cheesy, and if, well TLDR kinda thing, I prefer the 700 Gen 2, it's incredibly comfortable, the cooling gel earcups are awesome. Even better now Turtle Beach makes the 600 and 700 Gen 2 Max headsets that are compatible with everything, haven't got to check one out, but considering they are the same form factors as the 600 and 700 gen 2 non "max" headsets, I figure some of my thoughts probably hold up. Also sucks for me because they released very shortly after I got my hands on the 700 gen 2 for Xbox and the 600 G2 for PlayStation...Thanks Turtle Beach... (Edit: The Stealth 600 and 700 Gen 2 Max headsets are compatible with all the modern stuff, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X)

Source? If you happen to mean where I got it, I bought it from Amazon. I have a non-affiliated link in the description for this video. Hopefully this helps.
