If anyone else is trying this, he’s not kidding about the T50. Screws. I was reefin on it hard with a 18 inch breaker and could only get 3 of the 4. I recommend taking the shock off (pretty simple) and using a torque wrench if you can get your hand on one. Harbor freight sells a corded one for $60. Good luck.

Good video. I'm not anticipating that it will to go quite as easily for me. I expect the hub to be really rusted in there. I may not even get that far, I'm not sure my Chinesium Torx socket will get those bolts out. Thanks for posting, you make it look like a simple job.

Why did you replace the rear? What symptoms were you having?
@Boozi886 жыл бұрын
Where would you find the exact torque specs for this kind of repair? I'm looking to replace my rear hub assemblies on my 2007 Mazda 3 and I want it to be torqued down correctly if I'm doing the work myself.

Is the front the same as the rear? And if I buy the full assembly, it's replacing the bearings and everything, correct?
@MegaSafetyFirst8 жыл бұрын
+Tristan Hall Unfortunately it is not the same. The front bearing has the drive axle going straight through it. I think the front is actually a bit easier to repair because you do not have to deal with the bolts on the backside. But on the other hand you need to remove the big lock nut, for which I first had to purchase the right tool for.

It's a 2006 but if I recall correctly, most Mazda 3 parts between 2004-2009 are the same. I only know this because I have a 2009 door on my 2004 car lol

Sorry, I'm not sure if it is the same in that model year.
