I imagine this ED as sort of a skit that the Classics Club is putting on for a play. Houtarou's expression in every single shot is like he's being made to cosplay and everyone looks like they're acting, from the walks during the footprints to the reaction shot expressions. It's such a damn fun ED.

Aw man I’m the type to skip OP/ED’s and I never regretted it until now. That ED’s great thanks for opening my eyes

I honestly had never given much thought to who the characters represent but it's nice to have an idea about it now

Good on you to point out Agatha Christie and her works.

Mayaka is definitely Poirot. The hat, the tie, the watch chain, and the cane with the swan on top are dead giveaways. Add that to all the titles in the back which are Poirot story titles and you got yourself a no-brainier.

I hadn’t realized we had such an amazing fandom...perhaps they’re just quieter, makes sense considering though

Is it bad that I like this ED so much that I memorized the lyrics to sing along?

I like to think that in the first ending it is shown that they are normal and fragile people inside, and that they started to realize that they liked Houtarou and Satoshi, but if they just waited, depending on their attitude, nothing would happen - they pass the whole end a little impatient and nervous, as if they were expecting something. so in the second end they get tired of waiting and literally go looking for them, it combines with the fact that in the second half of the anime Chitanda gets more and more insisive and curious about Oreki and the mayaka asks for an answer to satoshi

These videos are explaining to people why they love hyouka and they themselves dont know the reason. I personally love the series and would place it in my top 5 anime have i watched(i watched alot of anime), i might even placed it in num 1 or 2 position. Its one of the series that almost feel like a full movie. Tbh, im still waiting for a new season but i doubt they will ever make it. And thats the reason why i keep rewatching this anime, currently about more than 10 times, despite being a mystery stories that usually have almost no rewatch value, i find that hyouka have alot of rewatch value.

Mayaka is obviously Hercule Poirot, of Agata Christie. I know this cus i watched a serial about Poirot.

Every time I feel distressed in the absence of season 2, I listen to 「kimi ni matsuwaru mystery」 and feel like "maybe it's better that this series ended and didn't overextend unlike other series, maybe we don't need a s2". Cause like every time I listen to this ed, I am reminded that Hyouka is done and initially feel sad. But because of the upbeat and nostalgic vibe of the ed, I just have that "I feel glad that I witnessed and finally finished this series" feeling.

Another interesting Poirot detail is the vase lapel pin, which featured prominently in David Suchet's portrayal of the character

I always assumed she was Watson but I'm glad to be proven wrong, since I was always annoyed at the implication that she was just a sidekick. Also congrats on getting your own Hyouka moment I guess?

Dude, you tell us it's Albert Finney's version of Poirot, but the image you use is David Suchet. At least you didn't use John Malkovich? LOL. I'm just yanking your chain. You have some great vids.

I always thought it was obvious who they all were, though I had pegged Houtarou as Moriarty and Satoshi as Lupin. Mostly because of the Holmes/Moriarty angle.

I could have never readily come to the conclusion that Miyaka was Poirot. Sad to say I never read a Sherlock novel but I now some things about him but rarely have I ever heard of Agatha Christy.
@airelfacilities22525 жыл бұрын
You should try reading her novels. Most of the conclusions made by Poirot are reasonable and can technically be made by anyone (unlike Sherlock's insane deductive reasoning and inhuman skill). I would suggest the ABC murders or The Murder of Roger Ackroyd for starters.

People debated who these characters were? I thought it was obvious. For instance, there's far stronger evidence for Moriarty using this exact same method. The fact it has his nickname of The Napolean of Crime or the mathematician thing in it, again, all Moriarty references.

God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners. Sin is the nature of our flesh that we are born with due to the sin of Adam in the garden. For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless. We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23), and the the law demands death for those who sin (Romans 6:23). God is righteous, so He must punish our sin, which is what He did through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus is Holy and sinless, yet He received our sin when He died on the cross, so that we can be righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished” (John 19:30), which means He paid the full price for all of your sins (past, present, and future) to be forgiven. He was buried and rose again from the dead. God will forgive anybody who puts their full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds, but only by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). His precious blood that He shed is the only reason why we can be forgiven of our sins (Hebrews 9:22). If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!
