Thank you for the repot video. I’m just beginning to repot my own orchids, and it was very informative. Blessings.

hi danny, it's the company!i also bought miltoniopsis orchids from that company (with the black pots, slightly smaller than your regular orchid pots) and ALL of them looked like this. bushy orchids, good roots :) so if you see any more from this company, you might try again. it's a good investment and mine rebloomed in 4 months after i repotted it.

Hi Danny 🤞, good luck with your Millie after repot. Please show update of how she’s doing soon, especially when switching media to leca. I’ve just switched my sharry baby to leca and this piece putted me at ease I’ve done right though I’m suspecting a bacterial infection in the leaves. I skipped the hydro perox step. Aa always thank you for the vast amount of information and sharing in your continuous quest of knowledge. Best ... Update. My Sharry baby. The top Bulb was broken from larger bulb below, that’s why leaf kept dying off. No bacteria infection 🧐 Yeah !!!

Hello Dani, thanks for yet another great video. I have learned so much from your videos especially switching my orchids to semi hydro, I repotted them about two months ago and they all love it. Most are growing new roots, some new leafs it's pretty great!! Once again thank you for passing on your knowledge on Orchids pretty sure I have gone through and watched all your videos. Keep up the great work cheers.

This was done almost two years ago. Did you do a follow-up on the status? I am really focusing on Miltoniopsis at present and wonder what you may have discovered. Thx

Good video ans usual, Dani. I have two miltoniopsis orchids that I converted to s/h in May of 2016. One took to it immediately and is doing well. The other (a weaker plant) has sulked and limped along but is now putting out lots of new growths now, so I think has finally adjusted. Neither had root systems nearly as healthy as yours. My guess is your 'chid will be happy as a clam.

In many of your videos you warn about snails. I've never seen a snail in my orchids. Is it linked more to your climate? Or am I just not seeing them?
@macromika5 жыл бұрын
Hi There! Two things: 1. there's a problem with the OrchidNature website. Not sure if you know about that. 2. why are you so worried about removing every little piece of medium? I know that it will decompose over time, but is that small amount such a big deal? In my mind it doesn't seem to matter, BUT I don't know anything about orchids! Thanks for your SUPER HELPFUL videos!!

I'm curious to see how it does in semi hydro. I only have one miltoniopsis now, it's miltoniopsis phalaenopsis the species and so far it has been much hardier than hybrids for me. P.S. English tip: cupboard is pronounced "cubbard." ☺️

Hello Danni! I have a Brassidium shooting star that I would like to repot soon. Removing a dried leaf I discovered a new growth. I hear you talking in your videos about bearing in mind direction of growth, oldest pseudobulbs and all that when repotting this kind of orchids. Could you please explain exactly how to do it properly or link me to a video where you explain it? I'd like to do it properly.

Hello Dani. I live in the states. We don't have 3% hydrogen peroxide. I can only find 70-80%. Is it ok to use or how do I reduce it to the 3%? Add water to it? Thanks Rowan
@resilience4lyfe3315 жыл бұрын
60-80% must be rubbing alcohol. Peroxide is @88 cents in Walmart.

I have a similar miltonia that I split when it needed repotting because of how crazy large it had grown. I discovered that the roots were all papery and the sheaths came off easily so assumed they were dead and clipped them back quite a bit. Seeing this, I think I have made a grave mistake! Do you think there is any chance my miltoniaopsis will recover after such treatment:(?
@jeremyhylemon54426 жыл бұрын
I have a miltoniopsis that was similar to what you are describing and now she has new roots growing, the psuedo bulbs got really shriveled but have since plumped back up, so it is possible that it could recover just fine.

Hey why don't you add peat at the bottom??????
@judithsarcochilus10806 жыл бұрын
Not in semi-hydro! The whole point is inorganic media that won't break down.
@Justusorjustone6 жыл бұрын
Judith Sarcochilus not that peat,I m talking about super sera peat,which she experimentd for lowering ph,....

No Peet pellets to increase alkalinity?
@MissOrchidGirl6 жыл бұрын
+John Mcneill hi, they actually increase acidity :) no, they are part of an experiment which didn't convince me yet, so no peat on a large scale until I have an answer :)

MissOrchidGirl ... knew there was a reason. Still no cymbidiums in your collection. Should be good on your patio/porch...
