Nice p47 I have a good few of them in my collection but I do not have this one so maybe one day I will try and get this one to go with my other p-47’s. 👍

Missed this one - the one that got away. Waited too long to get it from my now defunct model shop and - well.. Still you never know. Another case of HMD scoring whilst I remain on the bench. Still, not envious at all! How DO you do it lol!

This P-47D-25(40) looks really good. I'd definitely add it to my collection. But the Corgi P-47D-1(23) Razorback, not so good... By the way, it would be good to compare it with the Dragon Wings P-47D-25(40)...

Have both types on display at the moment and looking at em! DW P47D's have more detail, alert signs, cockpit detail. But there can be issues with droopy props, ill fitting aerials, and I would advise against fitting the drop tanks as you run a real risk of breaking off the sway braces. Corgi models are very decent and have none of these issues and can be displayed pretty much out of the box. Both are good to have IMO. Missed this one too and cannot find it. Ah well........

@@peterhewson3216 I have 3 DW P-47Ds. One of them, the leg of the central hanging tank broke off. Others are fine. But one of them, which I recently bought, was completely disassembled: the wings were separated from the fuselage. But I easily glued and connected them. There are no more problems, the models themselves are very wonderfully made. Like most DW models. It's a shame that they don't make airplane models anymore. We should all write a petition to them...

@@slizevicius Very true. I discovered them late and have been playing catch-up. So rare, so dear though. But to see new ones, YES.

Haha yes comparisons will come, actually I think I did one awhile ago with a DeAgostini Thunderbolt and a FoV Thunderbolt as they had the same livery!! DW always seem to have more details, yes a little more fiddly bits and bits that can break but I do love a DW model. Corgi models a little less detail , but no hassles. Especially for in flight people. Just pull it out of the box and chuck it on the stand, job done!!
@heavymetaldiecast3 күн бұрын
@@peterhewson3216 Yes DW can have a few little issues re fitment, but the detail on them are awesome. As you say Corgi you just pull straight of the box and throw it on the stand and your done,haha. You may have missed this, but the chance is still out there. Just keep trolling the webz mate. Its how I scored this one!!
